why does it matter that he is a marine? its not like he was out in uniform and the players just attacked him. your service is greatly appreciated but it doesn't mean the guy is untouchable. He was in a bar fight and no one knew he was a marine so him being one shouldn't even be a factor in this story.
its not like the players went out and looked for him and found him in uniform and stomped him. he got in the middle of a fight.
