How common is it that a fight breaks out at any of the near campus bars?

I lived in Tiger Plaza last year. Rarely went out, but I went to circle k alot because it was close, and it seemed to me like atleast a fight per week was going on around there.... judging from the parking lot activity....

THAT I SAW... I think Mascona was a little dramatic about there being a fight at every bar every night.

Any memories of him being stupid enough to start crap with 30 footballs players? My experience with these kind of people is they tend to run their mouths when they fell like they have the upper hand or are completely unaware of the real situation like not knowing someone is with other people.

No he always was a dick and really cocky. He picked on smaller kids. I had a friend who was on crutches freshman year going up some stairs and he pulled a crutch from under him. Hes just one of those douche bags. He almost got kicked out for stealing a kids lunch card and buying a bunch of stuff on it, but when he was caught he turned everyone in that he bought things for. But back to your question, no he only started stuff with smaller kids, but who knows if he got more confident with military trianing

I would say theres fights every night at the bars around LSU

And you don't hear anything about them. It is a given that since it involves high profile football players it will be reported, but the reality of this isn't nearly as bad as it appears.

I don't think anyone should have their career damaged over this, but some type of punishment in house should happen.

I really don't care about Andrew, I want to know about the "6" people that went to the hospital.

The police confirmed that 4 people went to the hospital and from everything I've heard Andrew was one of the 4. No clue who the other 3 are but the police have talked to them all and all of them want charges to be pressed.

That's per Randy Rosetta who was quoting the police spokesperson:
quote:

Stone: "But the four people involved are being very cooperative and are indicating they want us to press charges.” #LSU

You conclude that the Facebook page in question is the right Andrew Lowery.

We've now dug up two Andrew Lowerys. One who went to Catholic High in BR and one from the Hammond/Ponchatoula area.

TL Night Fights..Fact

Guys would throwdown at Murphy's every night in the parking lot.

But, Senior QBs should not be involved in this kind of shite. It shows a lack of leadership and maturity if what has been said is true.

I've been following this all day (and wasn't able to post from work)...random thoughts:

1) If this were 2010 and PP7 had been alleged to have done what JJ is alleged to have done, many of the 'suspend his arse now' crowd would have, IMHO, a different take on the sit.

2) I was here during the whole Varsity RP/X-Man MAYLAY (aka melee), and I remember being assured more than once by numerous witnesses/first responders/people with sources/etc. that 1) RP and friends came back to the Varsity with a gun/trashed someone's car/was definitely in HUGE shite. Other witnesses/first responders/people with sources/etc. SWORE the whole thing was exaggerated and no gun was involved.

3) We all know how the infamous Varsity event was resolved. Nothing came of it.

4) The fact of the matter is that this is LSU and it happened in B.R., and if any one of these four want to push the issue against MULTIPLE members of the team (instead of just against JJ, who is rather unpopular), they will be about as popular around town as Casey A. Even if any of the victims is injured. Even if they are a marine.

5) Even if the only football player they point their finger at is JJ, they will still be near Casey A. levels of popularity, for a variety of reasons.

6) shite's gonna eventually be dealt with in house...too much he said/he said, way too much pressure on victims and especially witnesses to go against the LSU football team. Even if a victim in this case wants to press charges, they will have a HARD if not IMPOSSIBLE time 'proving' anything b/c this involves football. Also, this is probably no better or no worse than any bar fight...and very few of those end up in court.

7) Same shite would happen at any SEC school and almost any other in the country where football is their major sport.

8) I'm not getting on my high horse and say "I don't want someone who would do this playing for my school" for a few reasons...I don't know the facts yet, shite happens in bars (yes, even ugly shite involving normally evenly keeled people), and I know WAY too much shite about past star athletes at LSU that got hushed up (or never made it onto the interwebs) to get all judgmental on JJ.

This is why I think it is irresponsible for the local news to report the story the way they did. Jacques Doucet drilled the fact the guy was a marine and made it sound like the players just started pouncing on some dude they knew was a marine.

There were several victories last year that weren't very enjoyable, especially the string of sub-100 yard passing ones...

You don't enjoy having your team win? How is that?
You would rather that they lose?
Interesting to say the least.

Sooooooo if a team WINS and the offense doesn't perform like YOU want it to, you are sad? In your view the purpose of the LSU foorball team is to play only in such a way as to fulfull your conception of how a game should go?

Sad. Yeah that is it. You are sad.

I used to watch the Dukes of Hazzard as a kid. Thought everything about that show was cool. Guess that makes me outwardly racist too... or just a kid blissfully ignorant of how much such things could offend kneejerk jackwagons like you...

He's probably going to face some sort of disciplinary action from his CO. The military tends to frown on things like this. At least they did when I served.
