Auburn is not in decline. At least not in the present tense. They have already declined. Crashed and fricking burned. They literally have nowhere to go but up. I don't expect us to compete for a title every year and I don't think we've been passed by anyone but I think the days it being either us or bama for the West every year are coming to an end.

Decline would be a long term thing...
we lost 2 games last year and a meaningless bowl game.
We beat A&M and if not for a blown defensive coverage we would beat Bama.
If we don't fumble the football after a 70 yard pass we may have beat florida as well.
Our defense made manziel look pretty bad.
We are rebuilding on defense this year, but by the time we get to the end of the year I expect them to be as good as ever.
