I realize this isnt the first time, but now with the transfer portal and NIL.....is this really necessary?

Your question is pointless. Necessary? Perhaps not. Could it benefit the program? Yes.

During my last undergrad semester at LSU (1990), more than the usual number of people were trying to walk on, including members of rugby team(s) on campus. One of them asked why I didn’t try, and I told him that if I could successfully walk on at LSU, the team didn’t belong in the SEC.

Practice squad guys?

Man to be 18 and even be on that squad would have been a dream. Never know, there may be another Rudy out there.

A couple gym rat walk-ons that make the team are always good for moral.

I knew a few guys that were preferred walk ons....their parents were mostly huge boosters and they didnt get or need scholarships and they didnt travel with the team.

They were pretty much just tackling dummies and they got to dress out for home games...

But they did get rings when they won the NC...so thats pretty cool

If there were such thing as student analyst I'd do that in a heartbeat. My playing days are 100% behind me and it would be a mockery if I tried out.

I had a few friends that were walk ons when we were in school. One wanted to whip me into shape and have me try out. I never did. They all got their heads bashed in but they got to run out of the tunnel and got sec champ and national champ rings. But it seems more importantly, they have tons of connections related to football.

My friend's son was a walk on for LSU 2005.

He ended up with a Natty ring.

Worked for LSU 2x, some regional LA school 2x (NWLa), Bama and now with the 49ers for the last 3 years.

Being a walk on can open doors you can only dream of if you don't try out.

Is this real?
Huge typo on this. Find it, and tell me this was truly released.

I'm disappointed.
