The public always set the market. It just changes the beneficiary from scalpers to LSU.
But that will not stop the cry babies who want cheap tickets.

Or by even in-conference opponent. Say, Arky has another miserable year, when late November rolls around those open seats might be cheap and worth a look at least.

I was invited to the pre-sale as an active TAF member. I was surprised by the ticket prices. I assumed they would be face value. I called the ticket office and they said it’s the current in demand price. I think it’s pretty crappy for LSU to charge inflated tickets prices.

LSU has been listing tickets on Stubhub / SeatGeek for years, though typically at reduced prices so they would move. They just decided to start doing it in-house now.

There's definitely a debate in it. I would be even skeptical about "scarcity" if one office is capable of seat releases. Yiu know?

At this point why should you buy individual tickets ahead of time? Look at the Texas game. If Manning gets hurt the first game and is out for the year then the price drops a ton especially if they lose a bunch of games.

How about 2 rooms at a decent hotel. Some games 2 night minimum . Airbnb have now gone up for games. Same high prices as hotels. Now fans with anything longer than 1 hour drive home are having to make a dangerous late night dive home with family.

I’m almost certain this has been happening since the ticket portal opened. We must also understand that the portal is supported and associated with StubHub.
Lastly not all of the tickets listed for sale belong to LSU as season ticket holders can have their tickets listed on there today with no distinction bn LSU owned tickets or ones I have listed.

I see this as a good thing. It incentives you to buy season tix. Finally as a season ticket holder you don’t have people buying individual game tickets for every game and effectively getting season tickets for half the price

Same. I was shocked at what appeared to be face value or how the ticket office determined the new “demand price”.
Having a somewhat exclusive opportunity to buy tickets pre-sale used to guarantee you weren’t paying the overpriced stubhub rates after everything sold out. Now you get the opportunity to pay $400 for an $80 ticket a few weeks before anyone else.
