quote:

Offensive tackle Brad Coley, another senior who got some playing time in the 2005 game, said of the LSU fans: "They are so passionate about their team, about football and the state of Louisiana. It's something you don't see in a whole lot of places. Going up to Michigan last year, they're drinking wine and they're waving. You go down to LSU and they're chugging beers and they're throwing them at you."

Saw this quote in the Winston-Salem Journal online, & didn't see it here... if he thought the beer was bad, wait 'til we start throwing the bags of urine.

Here's the whole article

Sorry. I couldn't find a rock .
Although I had nothing to do with the punching of that old lady or flipping off that young kid wearing the App State Spirit Program t-shirt

Condon yesterday had his top 5 post game comments from opposing coaches/players bout the experience: 1) USC offensive lineman: playing in South Bend is like Romper Room in comparision to Tiger Stadium (paraphrased) 2) the Bear: playing in Tiger Stadium is like playing in a drum 3) Bobby Dodd @ Ga.Tech: now I know how the Christians felt in the Coliseum ..and I've gone blank on the other 2, tho another had the same reference as Dodd's.

The OSU-Mich game is a bitter rivalry but I respect the Wolverines. We have had their number recently but the SEC has had ours and then some.

On the flip side, Mich has had the SEC's number with a 20-5-1 record all-time, and the only team with a winning record vs them is Tenn (1-0). LSU has never played them which surprises me. Why is that?

The LSU NATION,including Mike, welcomes you back to Tiger Stadium. 92,000 fans right on top of you & I'll be one of them. Have a safe trip and enjoy the atmosphere of the most intimidating Stadium in the country. The football team is not to shabby either.

As for not playing Michigan, the story that made the rounds in the 90's was that Bo wanted a two game for one set up & LSU told him to stuff it.

Would LOVE to see an LSU-Michigan home and home.

I think one of the bowl scenarios late last season had LSU-Mich in the Capital One, and that sounded pretty sexy (obviously as a distant consolation prize)

Great article. How can you not respect players like that. They want it loud and rowdy. They were very respectful. I think they'll get about twice the experience as last time. This year it's not in the middle of SEC play, it's the 1st game of the year and the fans and players are pumped. All of this hurricane crap has everyone foaming at the mouth even more for some football.

I don't mind seeing a beer tossed at someone. It's possible I beered a few Georgia Southern fans back in '87 when we stopped their consecutive national title run...

That said, if one of you cajuns hits my 10 year old with a beer or a piss balloon, you'll see one 5'9" 200 pound fifth degree black belt lining up your asses up and taking them down. I don't care if I'm outnumbered 95,000 to 1. Oh yea, he's a blackbelt too so bring your little kids and he'll take care of them.

Now...aside from that, I can't wait to get down there and mingle with the best fans in the best stadium and watch my Mountaineers play the best team in the country.

That attitude will not win you any friends. And why do you think everyone in Louisiana is Cajun ?

I didn't say everyone in Louisiana is a cajun. I just called out the cajuns!

It was a JOKE. Didn't you see the laughter icon?
