Wow, great pep talk. I’m ready to get out there on the field and beat up on them now. I wasn’t before but sure am now.

It’s not an “elitist attitude” if it’s a true statement.

Please provide teams on UCFs schedule that were ranked, and their SOS.

Failing to realize that playing unranked, unproven teams somehow equates to winning a National Championship, even though UCF obviously did not win a Natty, is the kind of “Elitist Attitude” that will bite you. Just sayin.

And also let me be clear, I definitely respect what UCF is doing and think they are a great program. However, I found it ironic that folks think LSU is likely sleeping on UCF. UCF fans have publicly stated felt they deserved better than LSU, which is the definition of not taking your opponent seriously. Hope both teams are ready for a game.

And every Miami fan and every single Dallas sports writer, radio personality and TV anchor had Miami winning in a walk.
As a matter of fact, I didn't talk to one single Miami fan who thought we could stay on the field with them.

And Guess what? Worthless post. Fan attitude has never one or lost a game.

SOS is subjective and created by people that have biases. Just look at Notre Dame. They were ranked 3rd, but anyone that actually watched them knew they weren't that good. UCF is a far better team, but lacks the brand names on the resume.

UCF being disappointed in playing LSU is not a knock on your team, or showing lack of respect. We're an undefeated team, 25-0, that had been told all season, "just keep winning and you'll be in the play off." We were looking at a shot against another undefeated team, not someone that's 9-3 and won't prove a damn thing if we win.

I like LSU. Rooted for you all season. I wish we played under different circumstances. Still excited for the game though.

I think at the end of the day, it’s all subjective. But, my point is that the decision makers use those data points to make calls on who gets in the play off, and who does not.

It's amazing the confidence everyone has on this game, and it's unwarranted. LSU is playing without a majority of their leaders on defense. And our defense is what we have leaned on

Correct

quote:

And with a team like UCF, depth could become really dam important.

Correct

quote:

It was this same confidence we had going into AM, and I stated then, that we could lose that game.

Incorrect: we won that game and you know it, we can't beat the 12th man "ref's" no matter how hard we try!!!

quote:

Our offense tends to play to the competition, and it's just not responsible for us to think we can score with them if this begins to get into a high scoring affair.

Incorrect: You are more than welcome to correct me but isn't this LSU team now in the record books for being in the highest scoring Div 1 game of all time!!! You lost that comment right there!

quote:

This is the kind of team that is a matchup nightmare for us, especially missing SO MUCH on defense, and having a severe lack of depth. It's a big deal.

Correct:

quote:

Laugh all you want, but the tigers better very careful. Alexander got abused the entire AM game. Young players equals confusion. Confusion leads to explosive plays.

I hate to say this because you are thinking what I am thinking, but you are spot on with that statement and I am for one personally worried. If we don't control the clock with our run game "I mean a 75-80 to 15/20 split" we could be in a whole lot of trouble. That being said they are giving up 230 yds a game to schools in their division that ain't the SEC division so we will see we should be able to run at will so hopefully for LSU that is the case!!!!

This has zero effect on the outcome of the game. Literally could not matter less.

The difference in this game will be in the trenches....and we have a big edge there....I see this game similar to when the Tigers played Appalachian State....they had a dangerous QB and excellent skill players...but our lines dominated...

Yes it is...

“Capping bowls is all about motivation, and UCF has more to gain in beating a high-profile LSU team than LSU does in beating a Group of Five opponent. Beating the Golden Knights does not help any LSU player’s draft stock and does not help LSU gain prestige. Conversely, beating LSU would boost UCF’s prestige and national profile, keep UCF’s win streak alive, and help UCF claim that it should have been in the playoffs. UCF is a gutsy and resilient team that, down 17 points early and missing its starting quarterback in its conference championship game, came back to win by 15. So, even if LSU comes out and punches them in the mouth, Central Florida will stay in it."

"Another key for UCF will be its tempo; it ranks 83 points higher than Georgia in plays per game. Its pace of play will deter LSU from garnering advantages for its defense in terms of assignment and personnel that can allow it to wreak havoc against UCF like it did to Georgia. Central Florida’s offense ranks 25th in sack rate, 15th in stuff rate, (meaning its running backs rarely get stuffed at or behind the line of scrimmage), and these factors help it rank fifth in points per game. UCF’s dynamic offense will score plenty of points to secure them the cover, so back the Golden Knights with your NCAAF picks.”
