well, I don't think its that high overall by any means.Maybe by some posters on the Rant, many of which never have liked the guy anyway because he's not Nick Saban.
Of course I still support the man. That doesn't mean that I think everything is just lovely and some things don't need attention and to truly be the #4 team, need to be addressed ASAP.
But to want to fire the guy right now is just retarded and those who feel that way need to be ignored. Not sure why everything with Miles and this squad have to be so black and white. I support him and the team, but sure would like to see some improvements on OL and other areas.

Although the Tigers aren't playing like a #4 team against inferior talent, we are still an unbeaten team. I am a firm believer that our kids will play up to the competition, and if we eek out a win by only a point it is still a win!
Don't mess with Les! He's still the man in my
book.
Whenever you find yourself frustrated over our performance this year- step back and put yourself in a Tulane fan's shoes. Most would probably give up their first born for the seasons that we have had, yet they remain loyal to their team and hopeful toward their coach.
Quit whining and start backing our Tigers!

Get the frick out of here with that "I'm innocent and always right" garbage. Everybody on this board knows your schtick.
Jay Walker of ESPN 1420 radio floated the "LSU fans would rather be right than be successful" line after the hysteria on his call in show following the Washington game. I brought it here and repeated it and is has started to stick. I didn't put a lot of stock into it but now I am. The number of insightful internet football geniuses among us is amazing.

We went and bought Saban.
not really, we were in the middle of the search when Sexton called. We did pay him well, but he wasn't really a "WOW" hire at the time. Certainly wasn't on the level that fans will expect next time. Trent has turned into a good hire, but wasn't on any list of candidates the average fan would've put together.

How many other team's "fans" refer to their coach as an 'idiot'. Great stuff.

i suppose so, but from the first preser of his hiring I didn't think he was a great fit here. I mean the guy says ARK- KANSA for petes sake.....then when we blew a 21 point lead to UT at home, the hate began.......

What a moron. Hate a guy for losing the second game he coached and still hate. So what if he has had 3 top 5 teams and a NC. He lost his second game at LSU 4 yrs ago and you still hate him.

We did pay him well,
We made him like the third highest paid coach at the time.

But the more you heard from football people the more good things you heard. Besides at the time were had six straight losing seasons and not at the point to hire vitually anyone we wanted.

.....and if this isn't proof, I don't know what is.....I don't know they guys email address. you should send him foosball's words of wisdom.

I think that makes me about 75% right....I've been trying to tell you for years now. He is a nice guuy, but not a top 10 football coach...bottom line and you know it!

I'm pretty sure it's safe to say that it's about 75% complete.
When I was in school in the 80's there was a saying about Bama: their idea of an absolutely perfect season was to go undefeated, win the national championship, and fire the coach. I think it is safe to say that now describes the delusional state of LSU fans on this message board.

I didn't call him an idiot. I said other coaches think of him that way. He is not feared and respected like you know who.

Quick question for you. If LSU were to go say 8-4 this year, and you got your way and LSU fired Miles. Who do you think would want to go to Baton Rouge and coach? Two years after a MNC and an SEC championship. After a string of going 4-0 in bowl games. Do you think any decent coach in their right minds would put themselves in the position of having to go 11-1 or 10-2 every year in the SEC just to satisfy a moronic fanbase like ours is becoming? Give me the name of one GOOD coach (not some crap ball) who would do that? I'll answer it for you: no one. Get a clue. This is the point the negatigers just don't get.
very well said...

I'll say it again Lsu doesn't have fire on either side of the ball. The players look like they would rather be some where else. Time for the HC to have a father to idiot talk.

and for the record i don't want les fired. we have him at least until next year
brian kelly isn't coming here, and i don't trust any other possible candidate more than les
if we do drop 4 or more this year, les BETTER be on a serious hot seat next year. 2 losses or fewer

SFP has us losing 4-5 games over the next 2 years so we should be able to get some good season tickets
