It's these responses I don't get. What an arse backwards way of looking at things. Reading this very own board you will find multiple Tiger fans who very much so enjoyed their visit. Yes it's true there apparently was an assault on an LSU fan but all indications would make it seem like the attackers were unaware of the allegiance of the victim and the car. Right now what we're looking at is a crime, if the poor guy chosen to be beaten isn't a Tiger fan then this board never hears about it. WVU didn't jump this guy, the other tens of thousands of WVU fans didn't jump this guy, the state that is home to so many hard working individuals did not jump this guy, 3 low IQ'd individuals (key word here) did this.

I understand you're angry, but to come at the state, school, and people with personal attacks and wish harm on them is ridiculous. As has been stated many times over, this could very well have happened any where. Unfortunately our reputation precedes us, as a result when this happened it didn't take much work to like the powder keg. Your views on the subject require some serious extensive rethinking.

And for the record the state has a huge tourism market.

You still don't get it. The goal is for your university to put ALOT of pressure on law enforcement to fricking get these animals off of the street and provide compensation to this family.

I don't know why you would say this. It's been mentioned several times in here that everyone in Mountaineer Nation is completely embarrassed by this event.

There is nothing wrong with news outlets reporting the truth - but to make the entire state and university look backwards and redneck just seems immature on your part.

It sucks that 3 dumbasses can ruin a good sporting event, but report it as that.

By making the state look backwards? That's going to do it? Are you kidding? A smear campaign is malicious, it helps no one.

I agree that I'd love to see law enforcement presence become more significant, and medical expenses taken care of. And you know what? To some degree we're likely to see both, but on the other hand you can't be naive, you've got to know that even the most well policed areas are subject to some crime. If there is a bigger police presence does this happen? Maybe not, but maybe it still does. There is no guarantee.

Yes. Yes. No.

I hope that this family hires a high-profile lawyer and floods the airways with this incident. Until these pricks are behind bars, the pressure should be relentless on WVU.

Whatever it takes.

Well at least you're self-aware.

But like you said, we don't know all the facts. Living in this digital age is a double edged sword, on the one hand we get the news instantaneously, on the other hand that doesn't mean we get the full story. People have already made up their minds and dug into their stances before we really even know what the F happened that night. I'm not calling anyone a liar by any means, but perhaps we should also remember that the lead source of information is coming from a family member which isn't going to help simmer down the emotions that people are leading with.

I agree with every word of this...but there is also a man with a family recovering from surgery to rebuild his face due to an incident on your campus.

And it pisses me off.

No. But I know someone who knows the family. Great reputation and all around very nice people from what I'm told.

They don't deserve this.

There are still some wvu fans calling bullshite on this and that it was probably provoked. Others quickly jumped on it to say no one deserves this regardless. They also go on to blame thugs coming down from new jersey and are the ones that did this and are prob not WVU fans. Yall have some class acts up there in morgantown. Crying about ur poor state and university. These people will remember this for the rest of their lives while most of us will forget about it. Im hating you guys more and more every day.

I dont care what fan you are, this shite should never happen to anybody.

Yall can make fun of our qb all you want, the fact is it was a bar fight and only 2 players are in trouble while there are 4 victims. A lil diff than manhandling a pregnant women and almost beating her husband to death.

Some of ur fans need to wake up and realize the lives of people are more important than ur stupid reputation. This story will not change the minds of the majority, if any, of people that would decide to go to ur school anyway. nor will it change where you are ranked in the latest polls.

They deleted me and the conversation from their FB page entirely.

Wow....what an emotional incident!!! I have slammed your fans, been mad at what happened....just hurt most of all!!! I had to remember just like I told my 6yr old..there are bad people in this world, and they hurt innocent people, likewhat has happened to his Uncle Marcus. Reading all comments from both sides is something... I am so thankful my brother is alive and his wife and unborn child are ok. Like my mom said, he will have a long road of recovery...but he will recover!! Thank God! I am asking, begging..whatever you want to call it...for anyone with information to come forward!! There were too many people there, not to have seen anything!!! Do what is right...save someone else from this type of abuse!!! I pray it never happens again...but if these people are not caught it could!!! Praying for someone to be brave enough to step up!!! Please continue to pray for healing too...and spread the word...for someone to step up!!!

WVU facebook. Wow. These people need to come forward.

THis has less to do with football obviously as it does a breakdown in society and can and does happen all over this country, especially with people who's entire existence revolves around getting hammered and not knowing how to handle their alcohol, and worse yet, inject some idiots who's entire existence in life revolves around the successes and failures of a bunch of college kids playing football and you have a volatile cocktail.

IMHO, this has less to do with WVU or with LSU when we hear of our people behaving like arse wipes, as it does with humanity in general. There's a whole lot of garbage in the world today who don't put any limits on their own behavior.

Exactly. There are fans of EVERY school that would do stuff like this, including LSU. It is a tragedy but to blame all WVU fans for the actions of a few is ignorant.

Quoted for truth. And by the mother-in-laws on admission there was nothing that indicated they were LSU fans. It's looking more and more like a crime that happened in which the victim just so happened to be an LSU fan.

Also I would hope the family would just work through the newspapers in trying to find out information. Incidents like this no matter the environment always brings out the craziest loons (read some CNN comments if you don't believe me). Going on facebook, while understandable, is only going to cause them more grief. Hire a lawyer, let them take the PR offensive, no need to dirty ones own hands.

The whole point of the internet blitz by the family is obviously the shitty investigation! Pressure is rightfully being applied to the investigation.

Translation: Find these assholes and fricking punish them!
