I'm missing the part about getting dragged from a car while leaving a designated University parking spot.

Do the victims have an attorney? How hard are they going to pursue the police department/ perps?

Will this be reported on any West Virginia news outlets if it has not already?

Me neither. I deleted my Facebook a year ago and now I can't even keep up with current events because everybody uses Facebook and Twitter to broadcast their breaking news these days!

That's not the problem..

Per his wife: The only guy with a gray LSU sweatshirt was in the backseat with his window up. A rock came through my window first. I was trying to get three guys off of Marcus after he was pulled from the car- then I was tossed and thrown on the ground. I was hysterical, screaming that I was pregnant and that was my husband. It was surreal. The baby and I have checked out fine with minor scrapes and bruises. Our 2 friends with us are fine but bruised up. Waiting to talk to surgeon. My mom is flying up this evening. God is taking care of us and the doctors seem gifted.

Overwhelmed by all the posts, prayers, and concerned friends- thank you all, I cannot say thank you enough. I just left the hospital to try to let us rest. After several sorts of trauma/ER teams at UPMC Presbyterian (I think there were 6) examined Marcus up and down, they've deducted that 1) He has no brain injury, though his frontal bone is fractured right in the middle of his forehead, yet it will heal on its own, 2) He has a shattered bone in his eye socket that needs replacing with a couple of screws and a plastic plate? but his vision is good, 3) His nose is severely broken but will somehow be straightened out, 4) His shoulder is NOT broken but feels as though it is, and 5) No one can break his sense of humor. So many precautions were taken and tests were done today that the surgery will be tomorrow.

Read the Thank You Economy then you'll be signing up for Facebook and Twitter. Social Media, Forums, etc. are actually a reversion back to communication methods from the 1940's through 1960's, just over a different medium.

Is the baby ok should be one of the first things asked.
If the mother miscarried because of this, the perps can and should be charged with manslaughter if not murder.

Cant speculate what family will do at this point. They are more concerned with getting facial swelling down so he can have surgery.

The company he works for Baker-Hughes has been very supportive and have already contacted WV about the incident.

We had already heard that the mother and babay were OK as best as testing could confirm. Father is in serious condition awaiting facial reconstructive surgery.

if an officially designated university parking lot is not safe for someone simply because they are fans of a different university, that says something about either a) the university, b) its fans, or c) both.

it is in no way, shape, or form the same as going into a "bad neighborhood" when you clearly do not belong there.

no normal, law abiding citizen should feel safe in a ghetto where as EVERY normal, law abiding citizen should feel safe in a university parking lot. if you dont, then the university has fallen down on the job and to some degree the fans have too, since they can universally shout down this sort of behavior.

good news.
And to the fricktards that did this to them I hope they have the worst possible thing happen to them real soon.

Wife and baby are fine. That seems to be why they drove to Pittsburgh. He was just beaten up, not life threatening and was worried about the baby. Their normal OB/GYN met them at the hospital in Pittsburgh.
