I was excited about the Canada hire but that wore off quickly.

So he got like 2 games to get his offense right, but Ensminger gets 2 (probably more) years? Makes perfect logical sense IMHO.

So would it be fair to say hypothetically that you may have a different opinion of E right now if he wasn’t employed by the university?

If so, I get where you’re coming from.

How does this make sense to you?

Also - if Canada's offense was a "disaster" or whatever you called it, what in the actual frick would you call what we put on the field this past year?

You have yet to explain why Canada only got one season for you to claim it was a "fiasco," yet your argument for Ensminger is he needs more than a year.

Why is one different from the other? Especially when the one you are arguing for lowered the offensive ranking from the one you are arguing against.

It doesn't. That was sarcasm. You're biased to the point of not being able to think logically. Canada was an immediate failure to you, but Ensminger needs another year to implement his offense.

I'm always going to wonder what would have happened if Canada had just stayed professional after the "scheme change." I put that in quotes because we will never know exactly what happened there. But, once Canada reportedly (or supposedly) was openly disrespectful in front of the players, he had to go.

Can you really blame him? He was a proven coordinator who came in under the guise of being able to do his thing and then a career DL coach in his first year stepped in and tried to make him change what had worked at every other stop not even halfway through the year.

I didn't say that Canada's offense was a disaster. I said that Canada was a disaster. I can't believe that any of you would actually defend him. He didn't do this school any favors. He set the team back but in your zeal to get at O and E you've elevated this clown to hero status. It's sickening is what it is. Canada is no longer with the team he doesn't deserve any consideration whatsoever.

Ok. Now I'm starting to get you figured out. You are a huge LSU fan. You will ride or die with LSU no matter what, which includes an 100% backing of whoever is in charge.

There's nothing wrong with that. Its perfectly fine. Just don't sit here and call the ones who express the concerns that are very obvious with the program not real fans. We are all just as big of fans as you, maybe bigger, because we want to see the program be as successful as we know it can.

It also doesn't help your situation when you let your blind homerism get in the way of facts. You wouldn't end up in every thread getting totally owned, caught up in lies, and totally contradicting yourself.

Do I blame him for being fricking pissed? Hell no. Do I blame him his open insubordination in front of the players? Hell yes. Employees have to show a certain amount of professionalism, especially in the presence of their boss.

WTF? Yes. He refused to do what his BOSS needed him to do. He was disrespectful about it too. Then he acted as unprofessional as was humanly possible. How can you defend that? Whether you like it or not O was his boss and he had a reason for asking Canada to simplify the offense.

Do you really not see how ridiculous your position is? Go tell your boss frick you and take a swing at him. You'll be unemployed immediately.

Sure make O look pretty rosie in all this.

Taking a swing at your boss seems like a for cause firing, and in front of an entire football team seems pretty easy to prove. Probably cheaper than 1.7 million dollars in defense.

But we paid that guy 1.7 Million to settle and shut up.

Realistically neither party probably looked good, and who started any fights might have been disputable

Aaaaaaand with all this going on, the offense was fricking comparable to the offense this year.

He’ll give Canada a kicker and we probably win 2 more games.

How do you know this? Everything that happened is pure speculation. You know as many facts as the rest of us. Maybe Canada was pissed because Orgeron made promises to him when he was hired, which he didn't uphold. I don't think it's far fetched to think this, because he flat out lied to the fanbase when he was hired. I'm not saying this is the case, because I don't have the facts, but I can just as easily create my own narrative, just like you are doing.

If you were more knowledgeable than your boss in a certain area, and your boss tried to micromanage you, you would also be pissed off.

I take that back, maybe you wouldn't. You seem like the type of person who would bow down and kiss the feet of your boss no matter what.

It's pretty much common knowledge that O had a couple of guys playing that didn't know the offense yet and O asked Canada to simplify things until they could pick things up. It's also pretty much common knowledge that Canada told O frick you. Like it or not O was his boss. None of you could get away with handling your boss like that and remain employed.

You apparently haven't spent much time in the real world working a real job and you don't know me or anything about me so you don't know what I would do but I would try to be professional at all times until that was no longer possible.
