LSU brought in freshman Nathan Dibert over the summer as part of that 2023 recruiting class but there’s also redshirt freshman Damian Ramos and graduate student Trey Finison who coach Brian Kelly called out by name as potential options to kick for the Tigers this season.

“I’ve spent a lot of time over there the last week. Ramos has really impressed, he kicked a lot today. He missed one but the snap was not a good snap, couldn’t get it down properly,” Kelly said. “Dibert is a young kicker but he’s very talented, I think it’s early. Finison is a kid that’s got some experience from Northwestern.”

We went and got the best kicker in the nation in Cade York, and it paid dividends countless times. Why in the frick did that idea drop off??

We've generally been pretty spoiled at kicker for a good while now

I would just like to note that Peyton Todd is listed as 6’5” 242lbs. Damn.

They don’t always want to come here.

And most won’t be as good as York.

It sounds like it will be Ramos kicking, Dibert as Kickoff specialist, and Bramblett punting and holding.

In all seriousness, if kicking is or biggest worry this year, I'll be very happy.

Tons of close games this year. Better worry about kicker.

I don't know, seems like the question has already been answered to me.

People had been talking about Mata, I had never heard of Ramos before this thread.

Well, he's been kicking with 1s during scrimmages. I haven't heard anything about Mata at all during fall practice.

And I'll repeat myself. If with a brand new coach, brand new staff, tons of new players, coming off the disaster of last year - if kicker is our major concern, I'm happy.

Not me. They often score the most points.

You must be the guy who drafts a kicker in the first round of a fantasy league.

If history tells us anything, we will need a kicker to win a game or two this year. In the last 5 years, LSU has played 15 games that were decided by 5 points or less.

Do you waste a year of eligibility
To just kick off. I am thinking you redshirt dibert get him ready. I am sure he will get some training and be the future

But can you make a deal for a kicker for a year? Knowing you can’t have multiple on scholly for four years
