I thought the visiting team was always in the 3rd base dugout. Maybe I'm wrong about that. IDK.

Pretty sure Auburn uses third base as the home dugout.

Back when i went to a game there lsu was in the first base dugout

Just the opposite. Traditionally the home team is in the 3rd base dugout and visitors in 1st base dugout. A few do deviate from tradition.

I'll tell you I don't pay attention to who is in what dugout, except for at the Box. Seems like Tennessee was in the 1st base dugout last weekend too, at home.

When LSU plays at home (except for post season) they will be in the 1st base dugout

What's that got to do with the OP's question?

One hour in and no one’s answered OP’s question.
1st base.
1st base.

They changed the rules and the host team can use their usual dugout for all games in the postseason.

Also, in t he post season the host team will be the home team in all games. This rule has needed to be changed for a loooooong time. It should be one of the perks of being a host.

Vandy uses the 3rd base dugout as well.
First always made more sense to me.
