That is not a quote from Saban

It is a quote from Dan Cook from Montevallo, on a call-in talk show.

One guy on Sports nation- don't remember his name said Bama would win the rematch because they PROVED they could beat LSU in the first game.
The other guy at the desk immediately asked, correctly- Well what did LSU prove in that game?
The other guy had no reply.

No shite. "Lou holts did not pick LSU to lose, just that Bama will win!"

Yet there are fricktards who say ESPN doesn't disrespect LSU.
They clearly have disrespected LSU.
Bama didn't out play shite.
LSU got inside the 20 TWICE.. (Bama?)
LSU out rushed Bama.. Bama out threw LSU.
Both had 2 turnovers.
LSU in the 5th quarter dominated Bama. At Bama.
Bama went 3 and out. LSU could have easily scored a TD if needed, and looking back now.. I wish they had just gone for the TD.
I have never seen so many whiney bitches about a game that was completely even until OT happened.
Coaching and Special teams ARE a part of the game. Why was Bama attempting kicks they clearly can't make? Oh that's right BECAUSE THEIR OFFENSE WASN'T EXACTLY DOING shite TO BEGIN WITH.. That is why.
Les Miles out coached Saban. LSU played better special teams. LSU dominated late when it mattered most. FROM THE START. TO THE FINISH.

Okay I read "coach saban said" directly after that quote and that was an error on my part. Fact of the matter and point of the thread is that the shite is being said. And supported by plenty of "respected" ESPN analyst.

That's whats so crazy. We both played a good game, the stats were very similar, and we won. Yet they're convinced they're far better. It hasn't been since UGA 03 that I've seen fans so encouraged by a loss.

I, for the life of me cannot understand how these morons can say Bama clearly outplayed LSU. I just can't see it.
They didn't do anything when it mattered. They were so pathetic at times on offense they had to have a cornerback come into the game and throw up a prayer?
I don't see any outplaying. I don't get it.. LSU outplayed Bama. LSU at least had 2 chances to realistically get 2 td's.. bama never sniffed the endzone. AND LSU won.

Why are you trying to argue with these gullible GUMPS. They think they were entitled to win this game. Unfortunately for them, IT DIDN'T frickING HAPPEN. They want a link to substantiate their beliefs that they didn't lose on Nov.5. I can't wait to see their faces on January 9, 2012.
ETA: the guy you're arguing with is a BONAFIDE Gump

All of them are entitled to their prediction but their opinion is misguided. Its almost like we were not supposed to win that night and the fact it happened is just appealing to them.
Come Jan 9th everyone of them will be shut up

Am I seeing the stats wrong on that Nov 5th game or what?
We had identical time of possession. We out-rushed them. They out-passed us but they had more attempts, and we obviously were playing conservatively on the road.
They only got in the red zone one damn time.
They didn't move the ball much at all after the 1st quarter.
We came just as close to scoring a TD in regulation as they did, if not closer, and were a misstep away from scoring a TD in overtime before we kicked early.
They simply didn't outplay us even if you ignore special teams. I'm glad the ESPN buffoons are saying it, though, to motivate our guys.

They could all be right as far as I care...
we had more points.
end of story.
I have never seen anyone with less points than another win anything, but I have seen many cry for a long time thereafter. Let them make excuses and cry...it is only because their team had less points.

I've held my tongue on this topic, but no more, my two cents are these: on Nov. 5th, the only thing Lsu won was and extra game to show that they were already SEC champs. All Bama lost was the SEC title and a week longer to sit around and get rusty.

That's the same point all those other guys in the OP were making. Guess you agree with all them?
Of course nobody is saying "we got the win!". They're saying "LSU did not win. Bama lost". Hence the point of the thread.
I say LSU got the win, and LSU was the better team that day, so I guess my view differs from their view.

That kind of nonsense is like "I won the lottery but Cal Lotto pulled the wrong numbers."
Posted on 12/9/11 at 11:56 am to MoreOrLes
Bama's chubby team was worn out by the 4th quarter. Miles probably could have prevented it from even going to OT if he hadn't been so conservative.
