LSU Depth Chart with Ht-Wt-Class [3 Images]

This first image (List with white background) is my prediction for the 3-Deep Depth Chart. As you can see, I have tried to emulate the Official Depth Chart as best I can, hoping that it will be of benefit to some in the upcoming weeks. Y'all have probably already seen the other two images and are familiar with them.
Note: I listed Omar Speights as the "SAM" under the category of NICKEL because he has been bouncing out to that spot whenever they bring in Greg Penn as the 3rd LB.
Enjoy!

I think Sampson has overtaken Ibieta with him being injured the last couple weeks , pretty solid though

I know this is a depth chart thread, but man I love seeing 5 of the last 6 games at home on that schedule.
Wouldn't you have to list Sage Ryan on the CB depth considering he's been getting time with the 1s?

Excellent, thanks. To me it is going to be interesting to see how the RB room shakes out and steps up to take control. Deepest RB room at LSU that I can remember.

How long was Chester running 2nd team center?

The first line of players can compete with any team in the country. Where the concern lies is depth. Particularly on defense as there appears to be some huge dropoffs from the 1st to 2nd team units.
Wingo and Smith are All American caliber. Behind them? Lots of unknown. I think Jones will be a great DE. After that, question marks. If Speights can be a solid compliment to Perkins, LSU could have the best ILB duo in the SEC. Beyond them though there are average players and inexperience. The secondary has frontline experience...followed by a lot of young players.
Health is important for EVERY TEAM. However, LSU probably has a narrower margin for error than some of the other championship contenders.

Why do they have Sage Ryan in Bold at Nickel as if he’s the starter over Brooks? Brooks started 12 games for us last year. Maybe there’s a little strategy behind the initial depth chart release
Him & Sage Ryan will both be on the field on 6 DB packages, but I think Brooks will be on the field more when it’s 5 DB’s.
ETA: I thought the first image was an official LSU depth chart…

Probably because they have Brooks listed as the starter at FS

I think Scotcho’s got the DB’s right on his. We’ll see soon enough. I think Burns, Sam, & Brooks all start Game 1 for us.

Was waiting on you to post a depth chart, lol, much appreciated as you do an awesome job. I'm going to print this one out to memorize their numbers like a sicko.

Pretty good but there are more injuries than shown. Miles Frazier has no. Weight and size and has two ii’s in his name. Matt Langlois isn’t listed on the first chart. I wish this kid would catch on soon. Thanks.

I am just realizing that after the first weekend in October LSU only has one away game the rest of the year.

I really like what the coaches have done with the safeties. Basically any of the top 3 can play any of the other S positions. Burns, Sam, Brooks. From a strategy perspective, this should really help with disguising coverages. Can just bump safeties instead of following the motion. Just have to hope that they can stay healthy.

Alt, isn't that how any team is in regards to a lot of unknown or perceived drop offs from 1st to 2nd team? At defensive tackle, the back ups are two solid guys in Tank Guilliory and Jordan Jefferson, JJ is a potential all SEC type player. Then at linebacker behind Omar and Harold, you have LSU's leading tackler from last year in Penn along with the West Weeks who has a lot of playing experience and Whit Weeks, who probably is more talented than his brother. Then at defensive end behind Savion, they have Shand and hopefully someone like Wiggins or Womack step up.

I think Sam is underrated and has pretty good season. He balled out against some good competition last yr.

Safety looks like an area of concern. Has anyone heard anything about Langlois and Kylin Jackson, I don't think neither participated in the scrimmage.

Mekhi Wingo not technically listed as a starter is so wildly misleading if you don't follow this team

If Thomas keeps having drops..Ibieta and Sampson will be ahead of him shortly.
WR, TE and RB will be fresh come 4th qtr with all that depth

I doubt it.
In two years Thomas hasn't had a big drops problem in GAMES. Until that happen, I don't really care if he has a few drops in a scrimmage

I hope you are right about BTJ, he is the biggest veteran wide out on the roster. I noticed the receivers are for the most part around 6', so we need him and his 6'4" frame to step up.
