LSU Depth Chart (On3 Ratings Update) [4 images]

Pics 1-2 display the current Depth Chart as I see it.
Pics 3-4 display my predictions of how things could work out early into the season.
Notes on Pics 1-2 above:
• Fitzgerald West at NT because that is the last position where he took reps in the Citrus Bowl.
• Herald Perkins at WLB #2 because he has not yet proven that he can take over the Will position full time. With the addition of Omar Speights, this allows Perkins to continue filling the Sam/Spy role.
Notes on Pics 3-4 above:
• At Center, even if Jakai Clark transfers in from Miami, I suspect the mean streak in Charles Turner will hold him off.
• Fitzgerald West will be needed at either #2 G or #2 Center if someone transfers.
• I added a highlight for Transfer Portal Watch. In general these include players at positions where they will have to compete with incoming transfers. It is NOT based an any rumors or inside information (I have none), and hesitate to even include the gray highlight because it seems a bit taboo. Nevertheless, here it is for the purpose of conversation.

These are the best way to visualize the depth at each position.

Don’t like it. Too open to speculation and rumors.

Looks like we need 2 more OL and another LB

It is so f’ing nice to not have to worry about an offensive line

Why is Welch... on transfer watch?
This is simply in my mind; he and the others have given no hint that they would transfer. Since LSU brought in transfers CBs, whom I expect to start over him, and he himself had mentioned his expectation to play early, I put him on my watch list.

This really helps you understand the lack of depth at LB. We’re an injury away from being super thin. The Tolan deal is such a head scratcher.

We're thinner on the Oline than I thought.

This is pointless... a shite load of assumptions. I do appreciate the work, though.

I really hope Mason Smith stays healthy. This defense can be really good this year.

I attempted to eliminate as much assumption as possible with the first two images, but the other two are purely predictions.
Method of Organization for pics 1-2:
• Returning players are listed first.
• Incoming Transfers are listed above Freshmen.
• Freshman Early Enrollees are listed above Summer Enrollees, even if they have a lower On3 rating, because this is helpful for visualizing which players will be present for Spring Practice (purple = present).

Jakai not coming to LSU as a grad transfer to potentially sit behind Turner for his last year of college football.

thought Mubenga was groomed to be a center ?

We said the same thing about Tre'Mond Shorts.
