I don't know why everyone keeps saying we need to add an O-lineman, unless they are specifically talking about the C position.
We are 11 deep on the O-line right now. I'm much more worried about the TE position.

Man, that front 4 is insane.
2.5 deep is insane. I don't believe there is much of a drop off from 1 to 10 along the defensive line. It's definitely the strength of this team.

If Banks is one and done, he was almost 100% offered the opportunity to run with the 1s out of the gate. I think it'll be his job to lose.
yep, gonna be banks and Converse at Corners. and thats a good thing...
safety and nickel just got that much deeper with the other transfers...

There's so much concern over corner, but on paper, the situation is quite good. Granted, none of these guys are on Ricks's level, but you bring in an All Big-12 corner, and All CUSA corner, a former starter at tOSU and two former starters at Arky. Are all those guys really not an upgrade over Flott and McGlothern?
I think we'll be alright, but LSU is really going to have to recruit well at corner this cycle to keep the momentum going.

i disagree... I dont think Ricks was elite...good? yes... did he have elite plays? sure... but elite to me means playing at a high level consistently... I think he lacks consistency... takes plays off etc... in my mind, hes been replaced very well..
I worry about LB on Defense.. that is all..
Offense i believe will be sneaky good.. because I believe the RB's we have are very solid in Emory and Cain. Brennan has demonstrated he can toss it and we have talent at WR... obviously the OL is the question mark and the glue to it all.. so it rests on them.. but I have faith in Davis, he is a great coach and learned from one of the best... i just want to see the scheme that they will run. thats my biggest worry on offense...
Defense, im still mad we arent running a 3/4... i will always believe we need to run it.. even though I know we are in nickel much of the time...

I think Laterrance Welch ends up starting at some point this year.

Overall, corner looks way better than I would’ve expected a few months ago. Especially if Banks is healthy and ready to roll. I think Jordan Allen will be a good one too eventually.

Curious as to how the walkon/scholarship situation is right now and moving forward.
Josh Williams was awarded a scholarship a couple years ago, assume he is still on scholarship and counts towards the 85.
Last fall, Jack Mashburn, Spencer Payne, Nick Demas, and Evan Francioni were awarded scholarships.
Does Nick Storz have to count towards the 85 since he originally came in on a baseball scholarship? Not sure, as his situation is far from standard.
My guess is all these guys are on scholarship??
We are currently under the 85, and will have some additional attrition. Several players have been out all spring, and there will be natural movement over the coming months as well.
Edit: add Jared Small too, was put on scholly a few years back

So my point to this is why did we move Pig Cage to corner when he played well at Nickel and force him in the Portal
