LSU DC conspiracy theory

Is it possible the search is taking so long because Miles (and Alleva) are trying to find a guy to take over for Miles in a few years?
Les' buyout is still pretty steep, so unless it's a total mess the next year or two, he's leaving on his own terms. Is it possible that's why Chavis didn't like the alleged "Miles clause" in his extension and Chief knew Miles wasn't planning on coaching until 2019 and didn't want to be left screwed if Miles stepped down.
Also, Alabama, A&M, and Michigan just raised the bar for hiring a top tier (in Sumlin's case that might be a stretch) coach--hell, even Kirk Ferentz is making $4mil+ a year. Maybe Alleva would rather get a coach-in-waiting in place now so he can promote from within rather than break the bank for a new coach and also be forced into paying out all of the buyouts for the existing staff.

I do NOT want a defensive minded coach as LSU's head coach, because it would probably mean more bullshite on the offensive side of the ball.

Could a defensive minded coach do worse than what we have now?

There's no conspiracy theory. It's called due dilligence you ignorant prick. Would you rather LSU rush in and get a substandard DC or take their time and pick the right man for the job? Have some patience you ignoramus.

So you think TCU had a bad offense this year? Patterson is definitely a defensive minded coach.

Miles meddling is the primary reason for LSU offense being so poor for much of the last 6 years. Let your OC run the O.

LSU's top candidate may still be coaching which could explain the silence from insiders and why it is taking so long. Aka Oregon DC or an NFL guy still in the playoffs.

We'll we have an offensive minded coach now and it really couldn't get much worse.

So you wouldn't want someone like Nick Saban or Pete Carroll then, Makes sense.

Miles will not be able to make a quality DC hire because everyone knows, except the posi-tigers, the ONLY reason Miles is still our HC is the buyout. LSU football will not be relivent until Miles is gone and by that time we will have to rebuild the program.
