Our guys ain't here to play school

Well apparently 84 out of the 85 scholarship guys are playing school. Ed is the only one who didn't do his part.

LSU coaches are informed on grades throughout the semester. Not just when report cards come out. O knew, or certainly had every opportunity to know, about pending grade problems. There is no way this was a surprise.

Are we really going to blame or attack the compliance office if the kid didn’t make the grades?

Lol

Of course it was. Ingram's name was being bandied about in the football offices as an Academic All-American before LSU Compliance Department subterfuge of the program.

....well at least it's refreshing to see Orgeron isn't being blamed here though.

Would you rather have a program run like Urban Meyer did at UF and at tOSU?

Let's just go ahead and start attacking LSU Administration Officials who are doing their job. Not to mention doing a great job.

The NCAA and SEC would put the screws to LSU if it could. Thanks to our compliance department, they haven't. Yet....

So you're admitting that the NCAA and the SEC HQ is biased against LSU?

Thanks.

Wouldn’t have been suspended at Alabama. We continue to fall behind since 1/9

Every athlete at LSU is carefully monitored from Day 1. Ed has a team of academic professionals working to assist him. These are people fully separated from LSU Football who pass daily reports to the coaching staff on:

Class attendance
Study hall hours earned
Tutoring appt attendance and what they achieved in the appts (if anything)
Learning Specialist reports
Academic Advisor reports concerning everything from social to classroom behavior observed

Trust me, the coaches knew Ed would struggle academically before he ever set foot on campus.

If an athlete is declared academically ineligible it means the SA failed to handle their end of the bargain. This has NOTHING to do with LSU Compliance other than they are the ones who have to make the final decision to declare him ineligible

If it’s grades there is no way this came out of no where. Coaches were talking upmplayers which is fine but to if he was blindsided means he was willfully ignorant.

The coaches would know

1. If he needed summer credits to stay elligable
2. What his grades were during the summer semester

Also how are we blaming compliance? We have like the basic academic elligabity requirements
