Unless the State of Louisiana changes the law to legalize recreational marijuana in Louisiana, there's not a thing Woodward can do about it.
Say a 21 year old from California goes home for the summer and legally smokes weed. He is allowed to play at Bama but not LSU?

What don’t you get that it is:
PRESENTLY AGAINST THE LAW IN LA.
And in most states in the United States of America. Maybe these guys should try to go play American football in Columbia and see how many make it to the NFL. You can’t have it both ways. Obey the laws of the land and play in the NFL. Don’t obey the laws of the land and get a real job. It’s not that hard to understand. But wait we’re talking about compliance. Ok never mind.

Does Will Campbell have enough credits to re-classify to this class?

What you don't get is that LSU players are not required to stay within the state lines of Louisiana during their entire career. It is silly to test for at this point. Week 1 we play in Los Angeles and no laws will be broken, but drug tests might be "failed"

Ok, this is not the wild Wild West. There has to be some standard guidelines by which all teams have to comply. Hence the NCAA.. because teams are from many different states with many different laws. That’s why the NCAA has to set national guidelines for every team in every conference. Simple:
Just comply and you can play!

No, and we don’t have enough spots for him to do that. We aren’t Bama, there is apparently a limit to our class sizes

You're more likely to get tested for weed looking for a real job than you are playing in the NFL, considering the NFL doesn't suspend for weed anymore.

if the NFL and NBA can stop testing for it, maybe the league that sends all the players to those leagues should stop as well. or schools can stop hurting their player's chances of playing at the next level by changing the rules accordingly

Dont you think there’s a difference when you’re talking about something that should no longer be a rule? 90% of fans would say this should no longer be a rule. Things are not always so absolute. That’s not the best way to approach life.

Positive of the situation, unclear on the outcome. They are working hard to find a way to work around this deal. May be a case of rules finally having to change though

Shows great leadership by O, Woodward and the athletic department when you let a player with absolutely no respect for them, the team, university or it’s rules. You are going to change rules to not enforce them on a kid that refused to follow them. Great precedent set here and is everything that is wrong with LSU in a nutshell.

LSU has long needed to adjust their compliance rules to align with our competitors.

So LSU shouldn’t be a leader but a follower in changing rules for the entire system because other schools are fine with players breaking the law with no punishment.

You people have no spine whatsoever and are just as bad as the new president of the system with your bullshite.

Where did I say that? It is currently illegal, thus they are breaking the law. Period. If it is made legal, you will have an argument, but currently it is not, so you and others support condoling the breaking of the law and changing entire system policy to permit law breaking because some pathetic excuse for a human being can’t stay off an illegal substance.

In the end, change the law then argue. Until then stop trying to act LSU football is some victim from a compliance department enforcing the law. Of course you likely are fine with letting people shoplift since it isn’t hurting anyone in reality, right?

I’m asking a simple question. Do you think it should be illegal or not?
