I was hoping PM WOULD hire a hitting coach and a new pitching coach. But at the end of the season he says “Not changing anything “
He is hard headed and probably feels quite comfy getting a fat paycheck and doing nothing. I was hoping Woodward would make him make changes. Maybe he will give him this yr then get rid of him.

Wood bats aren't hard to hit with. They have the same if not better pop than the bbcor bats

The kids or their families. The summer leagues aren't associated with the schools. Most stay with host families. Which can be fun, or a nightmare.

That is true but the sweet spot on a wooden bat is smaller than on a bbcor. So while exit velocities off the sweet spot are similar it is harder to hit the sweet spot on a wooden bat.

Everyone has the same chance or difficulties with a wooden bat. The wooden bat is not an excuse for some and not others unless you are simply looking for an excuse.

For years AND it is still a problem. Nothing has changed, each yr I watch the same clown show. I’m done going to the games

Just out of curiosity, what do expect him to be doing to coach current players in the cape cod league? You know, since that's what this thread is about.
I get the frustration, I'm not a huge fan of him either, but it's also frustrating that every single baseball thread is turned into a Mainieri bitch fest and Hughes bashing thread.
It gets fricking old.
