It appears the Cape Cod League needs hitting instructors, Bigly.

Well, it appears the performances are the same no matter the coaching staff.
You really think there’s coaching in these summer leagues, except for game coaching?

Cabrera hasn't been the same since he injured his right wrist.
CPM might need to talk to him about some of that lasik. maybe he can't see so good.

Was hoping a new hitting coach and change of scenery would get him going.
What do you think a hitting coach is going to do in a month or do?
If a coach worked with the kid, found something wrong, it would take hours and hours of drills and practice to retool his swing.

The next season will feature decent pitching and no hitting. It’s the typical Pawl team. This will be his last season at LSU. You can only get by so long with a naty 10 years ago.

I was thinking the same thing about these guys needing a break. It appears that they're still in a lull. I would prefer them taking some time to work in the gym, doing hitting drills, making some adjustments in their swing/approach, and taking some easy BP. Why run these guys into the ground? Several of our signees are swinging it well, but are we running them into the ground now, too?
Maybe we need a whole new approach to what we require/expect of our players during the summer. I like the idea of resting our pitchers, so maybe it's time to adjust for the hitters, too.
If it ain't broke, don't fix it. If it's broke, fix it. I don't think it's completely broken, but it could use some fixing up.

it will be a long baseball season in 2020...unless pm recruits a whole team of juco players we will be horrible at the plate possibly the worst team ba. lsu has ever had...

Hughes hitting below .200 is on par for him.

Cabrera had a decent day at the plate today. Went 2/4. Hal Hughes went par for the course with an 0/4 game.

Poor Hal, dude should be spending his summer getting his body right.

With the huge loop in his swing, he’s lucky to be hitting .150. I can’t believe that hasn’t been fixed.

Do you think there are a bunch of juco guys out there currently uncommitted, better than what we have, just waiting for us to recruit them?

Sure did wonders for Andrew Stevenson.

I thought Cannizzaro got credit for Stevenson.
What was Stevenson’s stats in 20 ABs at the Cape anyway?
We know he made a big jump from one year to the next, but I doubt s hitting coach could retool a kid’s swing in two weeks.

Can't you guys take a break from complaining and belittling the players and coaching staff?

This is your head coach. After 10 years. He's been a joke. He is a joke. He will continue to be a joke. The only difference was a few Jim Hendry recruiting classes, a great coach in Andy Cannizarro helping this team immeasurably, and the successfully lowered expectation of this fanbase using rubes like Matt Moscona, Hunt (Face) Palmer & dolts like yourself.
The guy has admitted that he took a 2 million dollar a year job where he's paid more money than most major league managers and said he turned over to his assistants once already. Look at the POS coaching staff he's got and tell me he didn't try to do it again.
Yet folk defend him. Relentlessly.
