When it comes to college sports I think it's safe to say that football, basketball, baseball and women's basketball are the four biggest, right?

Skip and Saban are no-brainers for the Mount Rushmore of their sports. Obviously Saban solidified his spot at Bama but he was still our coach for five years and his work at LSU truly launched him on his path to greatness. Some people may want to debate Mulkey belonging yet, but she will put that debate to rest over the next few years. I think she’ll have a real shot at catching Pat Summitt in Natties.

Three of fhe four! That is what you call damn IMPRESSIVE. There are a lot of awfully big-boy athletics schools who can’t even claim one.

I think WBB is on the rise for sure, but what metric are we talking about when categorizing sports as top 4?

I’d rather not claim Saban on a rock. I enjoyed him while he was here, but I wouldn’t go as far as claiming someone that’s done a majority of his work to get on a rock, at Alabama.

Skip is plenty for me if we’re praising a rock.

Jesus man! How about national interest? What other sport would you say is top four above it?

This board cracks me up.

They get pissed when OSU claims Burrow, but they are ok claiming Saban.

I'm not even sure baseball is top 4 collegiately. It's really only popular a few places in the south.

I think maybe you need to step back a little.

I wouldn't be surprised if collegiate soccer is more viewed than Women's basketball.

I don't know the statistics. My guess is that women's basketball would come in somewhere from 7-10.

Mulkey is absolutely on the Mt Rushmore of Women's Basketball even as of right now IMO. Geno and Pat are currently well ahead of everyone else and it's not really even close.

I mean, Saban did win a natty here. Did Burrow even play at OSU?

I’m not sure you can put 4 sports above it though.
What do you think are the top 4 collegiate sports outside of the south. Lacrosse, Hockey, Soccer?
Not being a dick, I’m actually curious what you think.

Saban was the HC here for 5 seasons, won 2 SEC titles and a NC.

Burrow never played a single meaningful snap for tOSU.

Kinda apples to oranges IMO.

Well then you’re an idiot. Sorry. But that statement qualifies you as such.

The CWS has become a huge deal and has exploded in attendance and popularity.

Football, men's basketball, women's basketball...
I'd say baseball is 4th nationally (meaning overall).

I see it this way; what fills arenas? The top 2 do all over the country, #3 (WBB) does it where they are good- and that's also the preeminent female sports program, and baseball does it on weekends in the South, the Midwest, and parts of the West.

Hockey may be big in the North, but probably less than 25% of D1 schools even participate.

Track and Field, everyone has, but I doubt you get 1k in attendance at 99% of the places.

frick Saban

I don’t disagree, but he was a very successful coach at LSU and he is on the Mount Rushmore of college football coaches. Those are facts, plain and simple.
