Moving it to NOLA was the wrong call, IMO. If the Cotton Bowl was viable it should be there. Fans would be able to go and no chance of flooding. Only negative is outside stadium, but the storm should be through there by Saturday.

I'm happy it's in NOLA for selfish reasons. I can't be in extreme heat and sunlight due to having deep 2nd degree burns to 70% of my body in April so an indoor game is my only, chance at getting to make a game this year.

Nola will be fine by saturday

I know, and I'll be there. But, if there's water every where and it is a cluster, and it could be with this forecast, then the planners of this event should get destroyed. They moved it from a flooded area to a flood prone area that's forcasted a lot rain all week

Yes it may rain. It has rained numerous times since the pumps had issues and things are ok. It rained hard this morning and there was some street flooding but its gone. People are acting like this storm has super rain that causes floods where ever the water touches.

Like 50 inches around Houston and 20+ around lake charles? It has and is flooding almost everywhere it's touched. It's naive to think the lowest lying area of them all won't flood.

I think you're spot on. I'm not saying it's going to flood, but the storm is unpredictable and it may. If Harvey decides to park arse over SE La the game is going to be cancelled. Will it? Probably not, but it's not like the game had to be played in NOLA. Dallas was just the safer option, IMO.

Let's be careful not to reveal to anybody at ESPN that the Mercedes Benz Superdome is the site of "ROBERT E. LEE FIELD".

Where it dumps 20+ inches of course it floods. New Orleans isn't projected to get anywhere near 20 inches. 1-4 inches of rain is still just 1-4 inches, which is what New Orleans may get in total over the week.

New Orleans schools are back open tomorrow. 4 days from now isn't going to be a problem, by game time it will be in Ohio.

It's come down hard at times today, but intermittently. The pumps online can handle a good bit of water; its the heavy downpours in a short time frame that cause problems.

If today is any indication, NOLA will be more than ready for Saturday.

Maybe it will, maybe it won't, but the ground is most definitely totally saturated. It won't be soaking up any rain that does hit.
