LSU is one of the few programs in the nation that ALWAYS has the talent to be a top 10 team...even with the qb woes we have had for a while now. LSU will reach the pinnacle again, it's just a matter of time and having the right coaches in place. I truly believe coach O is going to be the next national title winning coach here. He recruits very well, and gets his players ready to play. We may need to change some of the other coaches around on offense and make new hires, but all we are waiting on is that big time qb to bring us back to the top. We are going to get him soon, I am betting on that. That has been the one position that has hindered us the most, and I just have a feeling like we are due to get one. This program is heading in the right direction. It's great to be a Tiger. Geaux Tigers!

To put things into perspective, LSU hasnt had a season with less than 8 wins since 1999. We have had 5 8 win seasons since then, the rest have been 9 wins or better. We have had 10 10 win seasons in that same span...having to play in the toughest division in college ball every year. Sure, Auburn and Florida have won title's in that same span like we have, but, they have also experienced losing season's where they were completely down as a program in between...both of them. Neither of them have had the amount of 10 win seasons (a lot are more than 10 wins) we have had either in that same span. LSU doesn't fall off, we have seasons where we underachieve for one reason or another, but we are still there and don't completely fall off like other programs experience at some point over a span of 20 years. LSU fans need to just realize how good of a program we have and how difficult it is to have the sustained success that we enjoy. Sure, I want to win titles every year too lol, but when we dont, we truly aren't far away from one. It's coming again and I can't wait.

That was among the best posts I've read on here. Concise and efficient. Good job.

We are going to be very good next year. No doubt about it. We are going to be tough to beat.

Offense may have to carry us a few games next year early on, especially against Texas. Get past the Horns and we should be undefeated going into Bama (Florida worries me though).

All of our top receivers return along with Brass Balls Joe. We add some much needed speed to the backfield with Emery and Davis. The O-line returns A LOT of experience. The only question mark on offense is TE.

Defensively, we should be really good - great if White comes back. If Chaisson and Fehoko can return to form, then the front 7 will be that much stronger. If Shelvin can get in shape and play significant minutes, then we just might be ready to compete against that team in red.

I think our biggest thing is going to be our offensive line play, and I believe they have improved a lot since the Bama game. We will add some players from this hell of a class we have coming in too, which only increases everyones level of play and competition. We are absolutely loaded next season everywhere. If devin white doesn't return, we will have everyone else besides him and someone will just have to step up, but we have the talent. This is going to be the best I've felt about a team since the 2011 season, and they will be able to compete with anybody if they play to their capabilities. Geaux Tigers.

And many said LSU was only ranked at 25 so the Miami game could be marketed as a top 25 matchup for week 1.

Going into the season LSU had one of the most talented rosters in the country. This is an indisputable fact. From this, I would argue that the low preseason expectations by the media had a lot less to do with a lack of talent and a lot more to do with the media thinking Coach O couldn't out coach teams with similar roster talent. In short, a lack of faith in Coach O by the national media contributed to the low preseason standards. I bet money that if Miles was still the coach LSU's preseason ranking would have been higher.

Yeah, I don't agree with that at all. We had a talented roster, like we do every season, but we took some major hits losing some key players right before the season. Our offensive line was young and inexperienced, our receivers too, our qb was new, our rbs were both new to playing significant time also. Defensively we had a lot of talent, even after losing Tyler taylor before the season and chaisson the first week. Our offense was a huge question mark.

I still don’t get how you people are referring to the TAMU game as a loss. 11-2 was a fantasic season, and one I’ll never forget.

In a year when pretty much everyone wrote off LSU because of all the question marks surrounding the team going into the season,

IT WASNT ABOUT THE TEAM. It was about the schedule.
For the record, I do not HATE anyone let alone Orgeron. My love is LSU and specifically getting back to a title before I die. I don’t think Orgeron is capable of delivering that so why waste the time with him and this staff outside of Aranda?
I’m not interested in finishing third in the West like we did again this season or 5th in the conference like we did THIS season.
If that is what is “good enough” for you, then you’re not a fan or generally hate the school like these Tulane fans that come on here to act like LSU fans so we can stay in a miserable place of mediocrity.
So which is is for you? Are you satisfied with 5th in the conference?
I’m not! I’m very interested to know WTF is hard to understand about that?
