And is 17-4 through 21 games (just like last season). Says a lot about Coach Wade and this team. All the panic from last spring and summer and these guys are still in a great position to win a second straight SEC championship.

I’m going to step out on a limb here and say that this team is better than last years team.

If LSU had Waters this year, I believe they'll be undefeated.

Man he may not be wrong. I don’t know if there’s a “clutch” guy like Waters but these guys are ridiculous on offense

I'm not sure they are better, but the way they hustle to the ball and outrebound their opponents is prob better than last year's team. I'd say they are about as good as last year otherwise.

It says a lot about the guys who came back.

Heck if we just had Kavell we are likely undefeated this year.

That’s the difference though. When you hustle/rebound like we do you will compete with the best teams in the country.

What makes this team so good is you can't really focus your gameplan on one guy, last year it was all about shutting down Waters, try that this year and someone else will eat your lunch

The thing a lot of “know it alls” have said about this team is that it wasn’t well put together...mostly because of size. But “size” and “length” are 2 different things. The “length” of this team is extremely disruptive and will be hard to deal with all year long.

Mays and smart are starting to feel their way into the role that waters left open and while obviously they don’t play the same position from an overall talent perspective watford is a better college player than Naz.

Go check out UVAs roster from last year. Same size really as them in terms of their contributors. If we can get hot from 3 in March and April, this team can be playing in Atlanta.

Yeah I agree with you. I think it's all a testament to WW as a coach, to be in the same position as we were last year thru 21 games. Just some excellent basketball overall the last two years.

I can’t get the idea of Waters and Reid on this years team out of my head.

i think naz has a higher ceiling than watford but, i like watford's game better at this point in their careers. watford works like a dog out there. even if he's at the top of the key, if he sees an opening, he's agressively going to the rack. had a killer crossover today

I don’t know if we’re better. But we certainly aren’t much worse. And we are more balanced.

At the beginning of the season I was very suspect about this team. They played like a bunch of alpha personalities and not very good as a team. It has been a thrill watching the team develop to the level they are playing together and also finding depth from off the bench with Hyatt and the return of Taylor. I can't say I remember a team that is so tenacious on the boards considering their height down low. Add to it they live off of drawing foals and delivering at the line. They somewhat remind me of the final four team with Taylor, Blanton, Redden, etc some. Love the ride!
