yeah i dont know what his criteria is. If he means NC contenders then of course they're frauds. But so are almost every team on there not in the "real deal" category.

It's sort of a stupidly written piece.

Wyoming, Charlotte, Stephen F. Austin, and Eastern Kentucky aren't tricking anyone into thinking they're on the cusp of being basketball powers. Ergo, calling them (or LSU) "frauds" at this point, because they've happened to win all the games on their schedule thus far is silly.

That article is a fraud. LSU is only 20% of the way through its schedule, some teams even less. How can anyone have a clear picture of any team this early in the season?

ETA: Except for Indiana, they're fricking legit, and about to get even better.

apparently no one reads the bball threads since its been pointed out for several weeks now that boise is a very good team. their resume is much better than LSU's up to this point.

I know they are, but I still think we can beat them.

But I thought we have the best point guard in the country?

ETA: hands down

According to a Marquette blog I read yesterday, Hickey is a Top 25 player according to some Value Added stat they use. I'm not familiar with the metric, but he was like the 2nd best player either on Marquette or on one of their remaining OOC opponents.

Cracked Sidewalks is the name of the blog. The post was from late November. It was pretty cool that they were already talking about the LSU game.

He's a very solid player, but he's not the best point guard in the country.

Article is most likely correct. It would be nice if it was wrong though.

No one does, they just see Boise St and think they are only good in football.

Obviously. I knew you were making a joke based on what that one poster said.

But it is nice that other teams fans are acknowledging our team and players.

I think we fall in the fraud category if they had to have one but picking us to lose against boise state is a joke. So i guess if we win that game on the road then we aren't frauds anymore. I'll take that

I saw this yesterday and didn't post due to the content. haha.

I don't think they mean we can't have a good season, but we are not a national title contender or anything like that.

if that's the criteria though then pretty much every team in the categories above us (except top category) belong in the same category as us.

I mean Ole Miss and Temple, etc arent NC title contenders either.

If we go into the auburn game undefeated we should still be questioned. Boise will be the best team we faced. However, they are by no means in a different class than us. Force them to turn the ball over more and keep them off the boards and we win. Then we have to face another bi-polar team in Marquette. Southeastern swapped leads with them late in the 2nd half earlier this year and southeastern has the worst frontcourt in the nation.
