When's the last time LSU Basketball had so much depth that the coach wanted to trim the rotation?

Wade made an intersting comment yesterday in his presser: "Depth is overrated for games, but underrated for practice." Point being, most coaches are going to have 4 guys or so who they trust to give big minutes to in a game regardless of how much depth the team has. For this group it looks like Thomas, Smart, Days (if he can stay out of foul trouble) and Watford are all going to play around 30 minutes per game (maybe more) regardless of the fact LSU has a deep line up.
However, that great depth means Wade can essentially have one SEC caliber starting 5 squaring off against another SEC caliber 5 every day in practice. For most teams you have your starting 5 on one side. 2-3 backup caliber guys on the other along with walkon's who can only play in blowouts.
Hell, the argument can be made that the second best team LSU has played thus far (St. Louis being the best) is their "second team" every day in practice.
