pulling for our guys to be much improved but something tells me your 3 pt% being higher than your FT% is not a sustainable method to winning a lot of games.

quote:Yeah, 11 offensive rebounds on 18 missed field goals. We probably squeezed all of the offensive rebounds you could get out of this game.
The only negatives where the first half FT shooting and the relatively lack of offensive rebounds for Baker, Reed and Collins (3 total). Granted, LSU only missed 18 FG attempts all game, so there wasn't a lot of opportunity. But you really want to see your bigs rebounding (which is one of my biggest concerns going into the season)
The one takeaway I got is that we have a number of players who can hit the 3 and spread the floor. Last year's team couldn't shoot 19 of 29 from 3 against an empty court.
I have a really good feeling about Mike Williams in that he is going to outperform his hs ranking of 119. Look forward to seeing him play.

Woulda, coulda, shoulda.
Ifs and buts,.....
LSU bb was bad last year and underachieved their potential greatly.
The team will be better this year.
The center of the probability curve in my mind both with and without Cook and relative health of other players.
Without Cook: NIT first or second round.
With Cook: NCAA tournament first round.

It's McMahon's 2nd Year... You do the math.
So in their 2nd year, we win 66.6666% natties in these 3 sports.

quote:Yeah, but he was flat out awful almost from start to finish. Not sure why he was let back on the team honestly, that seemed like a concession that was not necessary and likely not well received by the rest of the team.
Don't forget that our starting point guard quite literally quit the team.

Beware of the Nicholls Colonels on Friday night.
LSU basketball once lost to Nicholls -- back in 2010-2011, Trent's third season.

Thanks sham, the team seems to be faster and more contributors as a whole.
