Nobody ever answered, is Breaux staying? And if so, where will he be, on the field??

My man...it's June...the year before the season starts, not even Mainieri knows the lineup. If he does stay he'll back up Cabrera in RF because they're not going to be able to keep him off the field.

I think they have sponsor families that put them up, feed them, etc.

Nobody knows... there's still summer ball and fall to figure that out.

If you think Breaux hasn't thought about it you're dumb. That decision is going to made from beginning this season-mid fall I would say? Pretty open gap for him to pick when he wants to go.

Do the players get expense money ? Do they travel on their own ? Housing arrangements? Do they have part time jobs ?

They live with a sponsor family. Sometimes is just a big family with a spare bedroom, in Cole Freeman's case an old widower, who made a great relationship with Cole.
They pay travel and living unless their "attorney" (agent) is willing to put up that money, with hopes of them making it somewhere. This is a rare case.
They don't work unless their parents can't help with some basic living expenses.

Gez. Can't believe that doesn't somehow conflict with NCAA regulations. The NCAA is such a fickle organization

Also noticed that Daniel Cabrera was selected to the Cal Ripken All-Star team and to participate in All-Star Showcase. I believe this game took place early last week. Nick Webre was selected to participate in the Prospect league All-Star Showcase and also to participate in the HR derby. Apparently the Prospect league does not have a traditional All- Star game between the 2 divisions. This event takes place on Monday July 17th.

Great news for both of these future Tigers!!!

The all star game for Cabrera already happened but the showcase thing is next week I think. The league he's in and I think 4 other leagues pick teams to compete in the showcase tournament. Pretty awesome for Cabrera to make it.

It's also pretty great for these lesser known leagues (in comparison to the Cape) to group their prospects together and get them seen by scouts.

I mean, I did in a thread, I think this one.. But it was the first or second reply, and he knows very well that it was sarcasm. People that give him shite for one or two baseball threads after the season are retards.

Just noticed Caleb Gilbert is no longer listed on Chatham's roster. Wonder what's going on there.
