There's a 40% chance tad saw a facebook post shared or something retweeted and thought media day was this morning. The other 60% is tad being a complete moron and making up his own reality.

Watson is a perfect 5 hole. Continues the lineup and allows the guys behind him that aren't good hitters as the top to see a lot of fastballs with his speed.

Ell, did tad steal your prom date or something?

I’m just wondering cuz you always give him so much shite especially in his preview threads.

It’s usually quite entertaining when y’all go back and forth.

He stole 2B and thought it counted toward total bases.

Those are especially terrible.

Yep. I've been hoping all off-season that Watson would wind up in the 5 hole. Easily the best spot for him imo.

It's also nice that we aren't forced to put Duplantis in the 3 hole. That hasn't happened since his freshman year. Definitely should be in the 1 or 2 hole.

I'll be honest, this will probably get mixed up anyway in the first few weeks of the season, and even so you could pick them out of a hat and it wouldn't matter all that much.

Lineup construction has pretty minimal effect as long as you aren't doing something terrible like putting broussard 1st.

I sir, do not agree with this. I think it's pretty important to have certain guys placed in certain spots whether based on speed, contact, power ,or OBP

They have done studies and it has a minimal outcome over the course of a season, like 1 win difference over 162 game MLB season.

As long as you are putting your better hitters up front you'll be fine.

Sequencing, aka luck, has a lot to do with outcomes. You can't predict when certain hitters will get hits in certain at bats.

Elle has always been a little bit of a bitch, but Tad is one too so I guess i'm taking elle's side.

I distinctly remember you calling Pap the worst hitter in LSU history right before he started tearing it up.

To be fair...Pap did look like complete shite until it finally clicked.

Maybe not the worst in LSU history, but he was pretty damn bad. He would've been benched if his defense wasn't so good. Thankfully, it ended up working out for the best.

If there is one thing to note, PM will tinker with the lineup all year.
He always has and he has plenty options this year.

Now if we can get PM to stay out of the pitching decisions and let Dunn handle that, I think this team can win in Omaha.
