Poche also faced a hundred more batters and was solely a weekend guy, whereas Bouman bounced around to face the little sisters of the midweek poor every now and then.
Plus, Poche is younger and has more potential, Bouman has maxed out.
And besides, I'm not THAT high on Poche either.

All I'm saying is that if Bouman is still throwing Sundays (or Saturdays with our schedule), it may not be as bad as you're making it out to be. I agree that I don't think he'll be there by the mid part of SEC play. But I understand that if he's successful, I'd be okay with him being a starter and having a loaded bullpen.

With Nola and that automatic Friday win gone, it's much more pressing that you build this rotation by maxing out your best "stuff" guys. The four main freshman, Poche, hell, even Cartwright have better stuff than Bouman.

Maybe Bouman can be our closer on Fridays and our starter on Sundays. It's worked before.
