I apologize for using facts which upset you. And which you ignored....

Moore definitely was better at first than Dean. Errors do not tell the whole story. There were plenty balls the Moore got to that Dean didn't have the range to get to. Also, Moore was better at picking balls out of the dirt. If Dean missed a throw in the dirt, it would go as error against the fielder even though most first baseman should catch it.

I'm not saying that Moore was significantly better defensively than Dean but he was better.

I believe Dean and Moore were about equal defensively at first base.

The problem is no matter how good Moore is or isn't, he still isn't a prototypical 1B. This team has not had in the past few years a player who fits the position at 1B, 3B, or COF from a bat perspective. Defense is great, but where is the power supposed to come from is the issue. I like Moore, but am more worried about which bats come in with this team next year so we're not fielding a lineup that consists of baseball version of slappers in softball.

The MLB baseball clubs are looking at him as a catcher.

Facts being the 1 stat or my comments? I'm extremely happy right now, although I'm still a little flustered by being removed from the Money Talk game. It's amazing that I get under your skin enough to take me out.

But doesn't that indicate part of the problem? Should he even be playing 1B then? I guess my thought is if he's going to be drafted and go then it may not really hurt as much if we have someone come play 1B that is a prototypical 1B. My point is the offense needs more pop and the CIF and OF is where that's supposed to come from. We are far from that so I hope the draft doesn't take as many of them away.

So you're saying ell's whole "Moore is ten times better than Blake Dean defensively at first base and Dean got drafted in the 9th round" is irrelevant when it comes to the draft?

Does that sound like something someone would say if that person already knows he himself will not be with the team next year?

What's so sad is that a poor soul updated that thread today with that awful info and it still is wildly wrong.

I don't know how someone can be so dumb.

Great write up but I don't understand everyone penciling Reynolds in as a major contributor, yes he pitched well in spot duty as a freshman but he is coming off a serious injury (as far as pitchers go). I'm hoping for the best but to count on him before he's even thrown a pitch of summer ball is just crazy
