23. ALABAMA – Previous rank: 16

Everyone expected Alabama's big bats to come out and pelt Southeast Missouri pitching, but it never happened in week one.

Everyone = delusional Bama fans.

why wow? Seemed like a good team to me, so unless you know how many people they lost from last year, I wouldn't disagree.

who does bama have that is good?

I know Wilson gets good pub and is a good player, hes overrated, but hes a good player. Other than that, who do they have? "Big Bats"?

They have any pitchers?

Why the wow? They nearly took the trip to Omaha last year. Had LSU not come back in game two (in the 9th), UC Irvine would have been Omaha bound instead of us.

Yeah, I don't get the wow, that's a great team that deserved to be in Omaha last year.

Cal Poly took 2/3 vs. Rice. Shoulda swept but blew the Friday night game.

Look at the top 25. If that isn't proof that College Baseball is a sun belt sport...

Brandon May and Josh Rutledge are vastly superior hitters to Wilson.

Edit to add...both hit around .370 last year.

The player they had was Ben Soignier, who is at ULM now and a All-American. Smoke really screwed up not offering him.

LSU is back on top where it belongs.

Too bad our coach is in over his head according to the RANTards.

Fullerton needs to figure out its pitching quick like! The Friday night starter looked good, but the pitching staff is young overall!

Friday night a TRUE freshman (Tyler Pill) hit a walk off double for the win! He's a great story because his brother (Brett Pill) was always a clutch hitter and won a game or 2 in Omaha for Fullerton en route to the championship.
