With a 'very' talented club, posters need to go slow as there will be some bumps in the road. Coach JJ will need time to fine tune this machine and when he does, hang on.

Thanks coach. I realize fan expectations play a large role in season outcomes.

I like the meltdowns after every loss. Helps me figure out the idiots when it comes to discussing baseball.

If we don’t win 110% of every game, I will ask for my $5 donation back.

Not expecting an undefeated season obviously, but if we don’t make it to Omaha it will be a disappointment.

Omaha not a given for anyone
Ask ark and Tenn the last two years
They were locks for Omaha
We could easily start 1-2 at A&M
They bring back a lot
I wish we opened sec play at home
I like what we have in the dugout though

I’m not saying it’s a given. Tennessee’s season last year was 100% a disappointment.

As long as we win every mid-week game by 5+ runs

Then undefeated in the postseason, dammit.

Right, and their fans were disappointed because the team failed to meet capitalize on their opportunities. I expect LSU to be heavily favored in a Super Regional. I’ll be damn disappointed if they lose that, or go 0-2 in Omaha. Frankly, anything less than being among the final four teams in Omaha will be disappointing.

a lot of people concentrate solely on our team when they set expectations. i have seen this for many years in baseball and even more in football. the fact is that others have damn good talent also. imo, both tennessee and a&m are also loaded with talent and have great coaching. on paper, those are the three best teams in the SEC but the games have to be played and the players have to perform. it is much too early to predict who will win the SEC much less who will go to Omaha. we have the talent to do both but it's far from a certainty.

Everyone else recognizes we have the most talent in the country. The expectations at LSU are to win and win a lot when you have this much talent. Johnson and every player that signed on knew the expectations when they came here. Our fanbase is very upfront about it. We rightfully have high expectations. I am not sure why we should manage them this year. We have been managing them since 2017.

And those seasons for those teams were a failure.

This is an Omaha team. Anything less than that this season is a failure. Doesn’t mean Jay Johnson isn’t a good coach or that the program isn’t going in the right direction but it does mean that for this particular team in 2023 they did not succeed.
