I saw Domangue close out one of the games in the Purple-Gold World Series. I think he maybe gave up a hit but got everyone else out in the inning. Looked like he had pretty solid stuff.

There are so many unknowns. Some of these guys may end up being special, whether it's Fraley, KR, Zardon, Hale in the field or Domangue, Newman, Poche, etc. on the mound. And who knows how well Moore does behind the plate on a more consistent basis. It's been a few years since there were this many question marks. This may be the only positive from having an easy NC schedule: It will be like an extended spring practice where multiple guys will get opportunities to win positions for the SEC.

I'm sure this was in the player profile...

but, does Dakota Dean see any playing time? Anyone see him play or hit?

He's another one who could break out. He doesn't have the raw power the Blake had as a freshman but he has an almost identical swing. With him, it will come down to plate discipline.

We do have some question marks but we have some every year. We had to replace the left side of our infield last year. No one knew if Glenn would make the jump and be good as a weekend starter. And while Cotton had been good as the setup man, you didn't know how dominant he would be as a closer. The pieces are there but you just have to see how they come together.

TBH I don't think any of the boxtards had any doubts on Cotton. I think we all assumed he would close and be dominant. I never had any doubts.

Our biggest question mark this season is the bullpen w/o question. Don't be frustrated if we blow some saves or if bullpen gives up a few leads. It will happen...the other thing is leadership. I don't doubt Bregs, but someone else will need to step up and be a leader.

The only leadership problem is who runs the game threads?
