It looked like it had more character and a better atmosphere than the new box

By far the best feature is the concourse behind home plate, it is not a draw back, concessions, tables to sit, bathrooms, TV’s, and you able to see the game.

Best part and smartest thing they have done is opening the concessions for Football games, and able to tailgate while watching other football games, also has an apparel shop where you can buy stuff. It is pretty unique.

I agree, it seriously is. Great grandstand area, good many chairbacks. Only complaint is watching on tv behind home plate scene

and ice cold beer.

The stadium is okay and the feature is nice but it's just an awkward cheaply put together stadium. I do think the outside is very pretty though.

You seem upset

The stadium is pretty nice and has good concessions. Not sure what else you could be looking for in a college ballpark.

Real grass outdoors. Tacky turf is tacky.

It's better than about half of the facilities in the SEC...

I bet there concessions blows LSU out of the damn water. shite, just having beer already puts them much better. For a Sunbelt conference school, that stadium is high class. Probably a better ball park, and better fan base than 95% of all of college baseball.

Thanks for the kind words. And yes, we take pride in our stadium. As for LSU concessions, they disappoint me. With all the money that athletic program has, the least they can do is offer chili on the hot dogs.

Urban South Holy Roller is the best thing they have on tap at the moment

Not upset, I have a post from when they were building it complaining about that same thing. Also, I have posts about every LSU facility pointing out the negatives. I don't like the way it looks behind home plate. It's very functional but doesn't look good to me. Also the grandstand doesn't line up with the base line seating symmetrically. Stuff like that bothers me. There's a huge gap on third base line and small one on first. Also the suites end and there's a big blank wall.

I'll say it's a nice park but there's just some things that bother me. Bathrooms and concessions were great. Grandstand seats seemed big and comfortable. Like I said the outside is very pretty and I don't have anything bad to say about it.

Fair assessments, but stadiums in general will never be 100% perfect. The reason why this stadium isn't perfectly symmetrical is that they would've have to moved either the first or third base bleachers in or out when building the grandstand, and it would've taken a lot more time and cost a lot more money. So instead, they did the best they could by building it the way that they did. But it actually works out because they were able to add a concession stand at the top on one side.

As for the openings at the bottom, Coach Robe said that he wanted fans to still be able to watch the game while going to the concession stand or using the bathroom. Also, it adds more room for games that would only have standing room only available. So all in all, it's not going be to 100% perfect, but it's 100000x better than what we had before and still nicer than 90% of other stadiums in the country.

It's very fan friendly, I have sat in the old grandstand and it was a disaster. No room for people to pass and very few rows walk ways so you had to walk in front of a entire row to get a beer. I really like that the concourse extends to the first and third seats. Should be able to get more people in for big games. I really thought with the amount of people that bought tickets it would be miserably crowed but I never felt that way.

They opened up space for that exact reason. As fun and electric as it was hosting regionals that super regional, the huge crowd could've caused a fire hazard. It was very difficult to walk around and even go to the restroom.
