There are many cops standing around that traffic light on the corner of S. Stadium dr and highland with the Mary Jane party right there. They don't care. Been going on for several years.

No more smoking weed too. All because of a couple of knuckleheads.

This won’t ever happen because they’ll just write them a ticket that neither party will show up for in court.

MIPs and i guess smoking weed now on gamedays was always going after the people that weren't in the crowd

when i was underage, you could get away with doing a kegstand in the tent but if you walked to take a piss with a beer you'd get an MIP

think the same policing logic was being applied here but even more lax because cops didn't want to deal with the drama

Which one?

Do you want me to post the videos, mugshots, etc? There is a certain sect of young, black males that seemed to be the reason an entire block+ of tailgating space had to be barricaded off. They ruined it for actual students that had probably tailgated there all season and previously.

If there were videos of white, male fraternities fighting on the parade grounds or acting ignorant, not a single one of y’all would have a problem saying it and then saying they should be cancelled. The university usually handles that because it’s a student issue.

There are people of all color that don’t know how to act accordingly and will screw if up for those that do.

They emphasized this because they really only want people that add value (whether financially or character) on campus.

What’s been going on there to be called out in the press conference?
A very large congregation of people, anyone within 500 yards or driving by gets a contact high, and also appears to have been where the argument/gun brandishing took place last weekend (from the video posted earlier this week).

And an Arcade room and pool hall. You must have attended LSU in the late 80's like me.

1980-81 Her boyfriend freaked when I told him I saw Dire Straits in the Student Union Theater in 1981. Right after Making Movies came out. Before Brothers in Arms and the single Money for Nothing rocketed them to superstar status.

THE SGA or some other student organization would sponsor those things and offer tickets to the students, faculty, and other LSU employees a day before they opened to the general pubic I was in the sixth row off to one side. I got second row center seats to BB King and Bobby Bland in the LSUSAC (now the PMAC). If you are familiar with Blues, that is an All-Star pairing.

I don't think I ever bowled. I did play pool a few times and more than a few drafts there.

Too bad LSU is not in a peaceful college town like Oxford, Athens, Fayetteville, Starkville, Auburn, etc.

Ofcourse the first question from Prog Filth reveille is making the closing down of Unity field a racial… these people are idiots.

LSU should have done this quietly. Don't be surprised if it's worse for the ATM game now that they are all going to be pissed off screaming racism.

A bunch of LSU tailgaters should get there very early and set up all over that area. No room for them.

“by the looks of it from tiktok, the florida game wasn't any different. i didn't walk that direction for it so i can't say first hand”

Been a problem for a while and also highland /chimes.. cops knew.but difficult issue to address….. fortunately as expected they self destruct.. . took a few shootings to get into the public to force the issue….

Hopefully things get corrected… at least moving in right direction

Going to a Saints game is safer than going to an LSU game now. Never thought I would say that.

Going to a Southern game safer than a LSU game.

When is national guard coming to Louisiana? I thought Landry said he signed the paperwork?

Thinking the same thing. Ironic.

BTW, when was that area named Unity Field?

As they should.

There is not an insignificant number of people who go to campus with ZERO intention of attending the game. They like to call themselves "tailgaters". But they are really just loiterers. And it's people of ALL races of ALL socioeconomic statuses. Unless they paid for a parking pass, them being on campus adds ZERO value to LSU other than more congestion and more of a hassle to the actual ticket holders. Eventually, the ticket holders, who do contribute financially to the event, will get tired of the hassle and stop attending.
