Take it easy little guy I just mean overall u suck. You're getting better. Again, it's not our fault that we're awesome and live next door. I would LOVE USL to have some real success and I was pumped you got back to back NOLA bowl wins. Sometimes when I'm trying to buy football tickets I wish we were more like you, drive right up and walk in. Not having to deal with a crowd must be great.

LSU is accepted by all as an acronym for the university.
UL isn't recognized by all as an acceptable acronym for SLI/USL/ULL or whatever you want to call it this week.

You'd have to address this to an LSU alumnus. As a life-long LSU sports fan, I could literally not care less. In fact, hanging less than 5 feet from me on my office is this fantastic old aluminum plate type thing (it's got flared edges and I guess could have been used as a serving dish or something) that has a wonderful large "L" on it and in the center features the full seal complete with pelican symbol and Louisiana State University & A&M College in it. Or course, on another wall, I've got a pennant circa 1955 with a great old Tiger head on it and simply "LOUISIANA" on it...which I keep around for obvious reasons!
The difference, of course, between LSU's use of the shorter form rather than the entire Louisiana State University & A&M College and ULL's use of Louisiana is that you already have another university trying to do this in Monroe. I realize that people in Lafayette think that they somehow have first dibs on that name, but they don't. There is UL-Lafayette, and UL-Monroe. Neither is Louisiana. When LSU uses LSU instead of the LSU&A&M no one, even in state, is confusing them with LSU-Eunice.
But back to one of my original points that you glossed over...do you deny that your fellow students (I'm assuming here) kicked off the lettering on the gates and they were never replaced leaving shitty holes on the facade? Is that not embarrassing? As someone with a degree from there, is certainly is to me.

There are at least 2 universities that choose to use University of Louisiana...one in Monroe and one in Lafayette.
Monroe uses ULM and Lafayette uses ULL......there is no single University of Louisiana, period!
It is a really futile attempt to try to say UL belongs to Lafayette only and identifies it as Lafayette....its a joke!

And? The biggest issue for most USL fans is the name. It's been nearly 20 years, and except for two lousy bowl wins, you've gotten exact zero out of all the hoopla.
Wait...I take that back. You've brow beaten local media into calling the university UL instead of UL-Lafayette. So, I guess there's THAT win.
