Again, if there is no threat, what difference does it make what we call ourselves?

As an alumnus of the university, I find it demeaning that my university can not simply use the name it actually has. I find it disgraceful that the university allowed idiot students to kick off the "Lafayette" portion of the text that once graced the gates of the university on Johnston street and never replaced them...allowing big holes in the shape of "Lafayette" remain rather than replacing the letters. After getting no response from the alumni association, I refused to send any more donations. It's this level of petty, chicken shite, small dick behavior that colors most LSU fan's opinions of USL.

Explain to me why LSU fans can ask us not to cheer for let's say Bama (which I no longer do but citing an example), yet as soon as the letters UL show up or we win a few games, it becomes an all out attack.

I could not care less who you pull for. However, if you purposefully pull for an LSU opponent for no other reason than your hatred for LSU, then you are precisely the reason LSU fans "attack" USL. Most people who do that do it for an actual rival...say pulling for AU when they play BAMA as an LSU fan. But the truth is, the worst thing I can tell you ought to be the most obvious...USL is simply not a rival of LSU.

Funny question considering both LSU national titles were won in the superdome.

Serious question: when's the last time y'all won a bowl game not played in Lousiana? I'll hang up and listen

Funny question considering both LSU national titles were won in the superdome.

So let's compare the BCS National Championship and the New Orleans Bowl since they are played in the same building....

I have now literally heard it all!!! Classic!

ULL is still the baby brother of the state (and always will be unless we join a big-time conference). LSU is bigger, and football should always be better, but softball and baseball can get interesting.

Btw, I think UL could put up some points against LSU if they played this year, but I do think LSU would win 42-17, 38-20, etc. It's not really a big rivalry to me because it's hardly a rivalry at all. One school is in SEC and one is in Sun Belt. Miss St, Ole Miss, KU and K-state--those are real.

This peaked my curiosity. So, im sitting here comparing the history of the two programs and i'll tell you they are very similar, with the slight edge going to USL. Now i know why Skip Bertman has that Tony Robicheaux tatoo on his lower back.

I'll sum up USL fans. USL fan sits in front of me in 09. His girl has on LSU gear, he's in red. He spends the entire game complaining that if LSU was playing real competition we wouldn't be beating them so easy.

My point is why keep repeating the obvious? Just be the best USL you can. It's not our fault you suck we just live next door. Go hate on Bammer or Oregon.

This is exactly what drives me crazy about UL-L fans. Dude, can you get it through your thick skull that Florida may as well played that game in their pajamas? If you think they even created a game plan of any significance to play UL-L you are delusional. To think that the Florida coaches & players prepared to play UL-L the same as they did LSU is simply crazy. I don't mean to insult you because I have many friends and some family who are UL-L supporters. But come on...give me a break on this Florida thing.

Let's see, back to back 9 win football seasons. Softball had an off year while still knocking LSU off and going to a super regional. Baseball won 40+ games and is a 2 seed in a regional. We are extremely happy with our success and I'm not sure how that is considered sucking? Your point was valid until the "suck" statement. What was the point of it? Would it have been so difficult to leave that part off? It obviously is and LSU fans like you can't stand anyone else in the state enjoying success while non-LSU fans are required to cheer for LSU because they are a "state school"
