You really dont think better rpi games can help lsus rpi at seasons end? Despite the fact that the sec gives us a great boost, a little more never hurt. Florida is given more margin for error every year because of their more difficult non conference schedule

I say 3 midweek games between the two teams throughout the season. 1 game at the Box, 1 game at Tigue, and the final game at Zephyr Field
This is not a bad idea. I'd be down for that.

who cares about the RPI. these are 2 great programs that are going to be in the post season regardless.
Here's a novel idea. PLAY EACH OTHER BECAUSE YOU WANT TO PLAY THE BEST!
who gives a shite about when, where, or who gets the RPI points?

You guys obviously have no idea how businesses work. Let me help you...the objective is to MAKE MONEY.
Now if ULL wants to give us half the gate on trips to the Teague....lets do it.

ULL website
So for athletics you're the University of Louisiana at Lafayette Louisiana Ragin Cajuns

I've already stated that taking that trip was dumb. Not any more dumb or any less dumb than taking a trip to the Teague though.

didn't we do something like that with tulane a few times several years ago?
One at Turchin
One at The Box
One at Zephyr or the Dome
or am i combining multiple seasons into one?

So you don't see a difference in taking a trip to mcneese (non factor) than going to Lafayette and play a team who's been in the top 25 the last 4-5 years

i'm actually OK with trips like the one to McNeese.
hit each of those small schools once or twice a decade.
gives those schools a huge attendance boost for a game.
teams like McNeese, Nicholls, and Northwestern St would never pull those home game numbers with an LSU coming to town. So just throw them each a bone every now and then.
Toolame and USL can figure their own damn way to boost attendance without riding our coat tails.

No sir. No real benefit in either trip for LSU. Is there a "perceived benefit" by the fans....sure. That's why fans don't make decisions.
Now I'd take ULL to come into the Box for a 3 game set everyday over McNeese....we should have that series every year in the Box. I'm sure ULL won't swallow their pride and do it though even though it would be of a huge benefit to them if they came to BR and beat LSU in a series which, granted, historically has been very difficult for them to do.

Now that is a whole other way to look at it which I don't 100% disagree with but for the sake of this thread I figured I'd leave out personal feeling

Why do LSU fans get so triggered whenever UL athletics calls themselves by their athletic brand?
Let me help you.
Yes "University of Louisiana at Lafayette" is the official name of the institution.
Just as "Louisiana State University and Agricultural and Mechanical College" is the official name of the institution

Baw....you use your 1st post to dredge up that topic...that has been covered ad nauseam on this forum and many others.
Some people just lack good creativity I guess
ETA Here is a hint though....most do it because it is the easiest rustling in the history of jimmies.

And we have always been LSU not LSUA&M
ULM doesn't go by UL or UM

Let me also help with the UL and Louisville confusion.
My roommate in med school went to Louisville for undergrad. They go by "Louisville." Their abbreviation for tv is "LOU." They used to go by UofL, but they no longer do. On their uniforms/baseball hats it's just the letter "L."
It's really not that confusing.
