LSU was much worse in the 1990s.
And we knew we were capable of better.

That's why we referred to our program as a sleeping giant, which was awakened in the early 2000's.

This weekend, the giant rested its head upon its pillow, with its eyes heavy.

The problem with that though process is that, yea, we're fine with 11-1 talent and we're still having 9-3 seasons. What happens when we have 9-3 talent in a few years after elite guys quit committing to LSU? Let's see how much the "9-3 is good!!1!!!!" crowd likes it when we're 5-7 with 8-4 talent

Miles may have many flaws but recruiting is not one of them. Having the #2 recruiting class last year and #1 this year makes your argument invalid. Recruiting is most certainly not trending down. Try again.

y'all need to hire a good OC and make Miles keep his hands off the offense.

Les won a huge power struggle agains the admin and boosters. He ain't doing diddly shite to change as he's in a position of strength right now.

don't listen to Choctaw - typical Pumper. He actually never goes to games. Oh and he went to a Celine Dion concert during the Ole Miss game last year - seriously ... I know him very well!

You forgot the obligatory "Les Miles is the new JoePa" reference that the other 572 threads remembered.

Points deducted. B minus.

We didn't have 11-1 talent this year. First year starter at QB. Banged up secondary. Thin and young DL and very young OL. Over half ouo starters were freshman and sophomores. The problem is that our fan base thinks bc they know a guys name he must be better than the guy accross from him who they don't know.

Feleipe Franks, Dylan Moses, and the plethora of prospects that went elsewhere for their final visit rather than LSU disagree. Want to make a ban bet that this class doesn't finish in the top 3 if you're so confident in Miles' recruiting?

Yet that is acceptable for a lot of fans and apparently for the brass at LSU and TAF.

The most optimistic among us insist that, with a few breaks, Coach Miles can win another NC for LSU. All we have to do is keep the faith. Well, all of the powers that be seem to agree with them.
