To the people predicting multiple playoff appearances over the next 4-5 years: Does that mean you think we'll win the SEC Championship in each instance? Or do you foresee two SEC teams making the field?

Unless politics pollutes the new system, two teams from the SEC could easily happen 2 or 3 times in the next 5 years, barring some unforeseen dropoff of course.

I see LSU winning at least one SEC title outright, and being in the mix(hovering around that top 4) maybe once or twice more.

There's no SEC team that's going to make this playoff without winning the SEC title. If you think two SEC teams are going to make it in, you are deluding yourself.

LSU thumps Wisky. Wisky wins Big 10. LSU loses to Bama. Bama 12-0, LSU 11-1 with only loss to Bama and with a W over Big 10 champ. LSU stays in top 4-5 (wins over UF away, defending SEC Champ away, and a blowout of Ole Piss) and you say the committee would not have Bama and LSU in the top 4?

This system will reward conference champions. I don't see a committee situation bending over backward to favor the SEC's #2 team over the PAC 12's, Big 10's, Big 12's, ACC's champion.

The committee will want ALL of America engaged in the playoff, not just the south. Watch.

You have no idea what you're talking about. You don't know any more than anyone else on the topic yet act like you know definitively that no SEC team will make the playoff without winning the conference.

The BCS was largely made up of human polls and two SEC teams were routinely in the top 4 at the end of the season. Those polls also put more weight on conference champs, but they also voted on who they thought was the best teams regardless.

The playoff committee will do the same thing. Stop with the doom and gloom until it actually starts happening and teams are left out. As of now, nothing has changed as far as criteria. You don't know shite.

Tough to answer what the committee will do when they haven't gotten a chance to do it yet. I do think they will favor champions over non-champions to a degree, but they won't leave out a non-champion who clearly deserves a spot.

Which is exactly what the BCS did with Bama.

That just further makes my point. There was every reason to not pick Bama but voters chose them because they were the best choice. No reason to think the selection committee won't feel the same way in situations like that.

LSU and USC get to SECCG undefeated. LSU edges out USC. USC remains in top 4, should they go?

Certainly there is a chance for two teams of the same conference getting in. Very low probability is what is trying to be communicated to the ignorant. This format was established to prohibit this. Look at the criteria. U can throw out SOS its a feel good crock of nothing.

Any of u wanna bet this year there wont be 2 from the SEC?

What makes everyone think when and if there is two from the same conference, it will be the SEC?

Easier schedules and 4 other conferences. I'll take that bet as well.

The problem with the BCS was the human element. You think Joe Blow sports writer with a vote is going to analyze every team and game. No. Now they have a more human element with the playoff selection committee. Computers don't have opinions, and can only make a decision based on facts. They needed to pull the human element out of the BCS. But....then the SEC would be #'s 1,2, & 3. And that would make america sad and lose the NCAA revenue from other conferences.
