I would like him as OC if he hadn't left OM the way he did. If LSU was to hire him as OC, you could bet the folks in Birmingham would rat on LSU to the NCAA at every turn in every sport. While protecting some of the other schools.

Bama had no intention of ever hiring Freeze, although they could easily get away with it. Saban just wanted to make sure no one else in SEC could. Plan worked to perfection

That is exactly what it is. Saban got with his buddies Stanky and Emmert to help him hide the fact he turned them in or had them investigated so the entire league wouldn't use that against him. When he knew Freeze would not be allowed to be hired then the league emphasized in a story that Bama really wanted him but they stopped it. Similar to a conspiracy.
