Lol where did I say that I didn't care we blew the sweep?
I can both be pissed we blew the game but also glad we won the series at the same time.

I feel bad for Hellmers
He did what we needed him to do
Things could be very different had we started him previous weeks

frick him. I’m so sick and tired of watching his passive behavior and not having any killer instincts.
They should have beaten the dog shite out of OM today.

Asked if he wished he had pulled Javen Coleman a little bit earlier in the eighth, Paul Mainieri said no.
"He was pitching unbelievable," Mainieri said.
Coleman left with runners on first and second, two outs and LSU leading 9-5. The grand slam came two batters later.

I don’t think he watches the games at times or else he’s completely blacked out at certain points.

The guys slated to come after Coleman aren’t good enough to get SEC hitters out. It’s sad. We only have a handful of SEC pitchers.
We all knew that before the series started.

So when you needed to sweep a team to at least attempt to be in playoff contention and you decide to leave a pitcher in way too long that isnt producing is unacceptable. Especially when you took out guys who gave up nothing. Giving up 1 or 2 runs at that point of the game wouldnt hurt you. But when you see with your own eyes that your pitcher has lost it and continues to stick with him is just negligent. Give him some more experience in a midweek if you want. He's done well to this point and when he doesnt have it anymore take him out. At least salvage the game instead of treating it as a throw away game because you won the series.
I feel bad for the players who bust their arse only to have the bullpen let them down again and a coach to dumb to allow it to continue. It's like he's a fricking glutton for punishment. Let Mainieri finish the season and tell him his time is up. You cannot allow that to happen when your players played their asses off this series despite inept coaching and a shitty bullpen only for this to happen.

Sure Coleman pitched too long today. My point was you have no real options after that. He left with the lead I believe. Edwards and Floyd didn’t cut it. Do you believe they would have cut it if they would have gone in sooner? I do not.

With 2 outs in the 8th just find someone to tie it together. You are literally 4 outs away from a sweep. You can find someone to get you at least one out. If you gave up a run in the process fine but not 8.
