Ben has to get better. Missing free throws and hardly any meaningful touches in the last 5 minutes. I thought he'd find some fire, but he still shies away in the big moment.

Quarterman killed us, ben was fine when on the court, hornsby was quiet in the 2nd half, blakeney GOAT, could have used around 12 from victor but him and ben on the bench was tough to get over. They did well to only be down 4 at half but this team still just makes some of the worst plays at both ends, when the going gets tough they really kind of go as TQ goes and you saw hiw he went tonight

There is an obvious disconnect between Simmons and Quarterman. When TQ presses to try and be the star he shits the bed and Ben just disappears.

That game is not on Ben or CJJ. It's on Tim fricking Quarterman playing like a baby back bitch

PG play tonight between Quarterman and Gray was absolutely abysmal, just let Ben handle the damn ball

I learned from football fans on this site that it's never a player's fault

I'm not saying its on Ben, but he isn't helping as much he could/should.

I'd love to see his stat splits in close losses from the first 15 to the last 5

Hornsby and josh gray also pitched in to help lose it as a team

Oh ok. I didn't realize that Patterson could bypass JJ and put himself in the game for TQ. My bad for thinking that was a poor coaching decision.

3/8 from the line from Simmons is also unacceptable.

Different players. Different seasons. JJ still the coach. We rarely ever get over the hump and win when we have a chance to make a statement with JJ. We basically load up on mediocre teams.

Was ashame your hottest shooter didn't hardly touch the ball down the stretch....I knew something was up when QT passes up a wide open Blakeney in the corner for 3 to brick one himself off the backboard... The fix was in.....coach included..... ....o well, on to the next game.....

I hate when people say it's not on the coach it's on the player and vice versa. When Gray was playing wild and threw the ball at the backboard twice JJ did the right thing and took him out and put in TQ. After that, TQ turned the ball over about 5 times and caused two 3 point plays fouling. For some reason he was given a pass though and allowed to continue playing wild. You could also see that the crowd and Carrera got into Simmons head. He was playing very aggressively trying to prove himself which led to some bad play (the foul trying to block the hell out of carrera's shot.) Lastly, the free throw shooting was absolutely horrendous 2 for 8 and then 3-11 of our first free throws. That is embarrassing for a team full of scholarship D1 basketball players

Plain and simple Freethrows. Team has to focus more at the line too many FREE points left on the floor.

My out-of-shape arse can go hit 8/10 FTs. How D1 scholarship players cannot is beyond me.

Agree. The team runs a much better offense when Ben takes the ball down. It's a mismatch evertime it's in his hands. He can dish or drive. Quarterman played like his head was someplace else. He needs to get it right. When he's on his game we're tough to beat.
