Beating Oregon 62-20 in Autzen is arguably as impressive a road win as any team this year.

You mustn't watch or even follow CFB to say that.

It is weird that they moved up 5 after only 4 teams in front of them lost, and they didn't even play a game.

Utah has played fairly impressive this season. I could see them in the playoffs for sure.

Can't argue with where we are right now. #7 is fair.

We are well positioned for success. Sloppy wins won't count against us in most of the games we have left.

They're probably getting a boost from the way Michigan have been playing.

Now this is more reasonable, except all the teams struggle so these rankings are even more worthless than they already were.

Hard to argue against that poll.

So Oregon being highly overrated in the preseason puts Utah and MSU in the top 5? FWIW I'm ok with our rank, I just don't understand the logic.

MSU started the season in the top 5 and actually dropped two spots from last week.

And as I posted earlier, I think the Michigan win is helping Utah with this jump more than the Oregon win.

Tbh I'd probably put Utah #1 right now. They've looked better than anyone so far

Things will work themselves out over time though.

Oregon is bad this year.

Even though Oregon has proven to be overrated to start the season, Utah beat them by 6 TDs on the road. Still a very impressive win over a Power 5 school. And shutting out Michigan is beginning to look more impressive each week.
