We'll take the series tomorrow.
No shame in losing one game in a series to a #4 or 5 rated (now SEC) baseball powerhouse.
Tomorrow afternoon, we start the game at 0 to 0.

Geaux, TIGERS!!!!

I mean the game was lost in the 7th.

The fly ball drops in RCF( ) Johnson goes to Primeaux to face the LH Stewart. Schloss counters with RH Borba, who Primeaux K’s, but then Jay leaves him in for RH Gasparino who singles in the go ahead run.

Jay likely got false confidence from the K of Borba but that is a spot I would have had Evans ready for.

Wasn’t as much as Schloss did as to what Jay maybe should have done in hindsight

No answer. Just sucking off an opposing coach. Shocking from you.

He didn’t lose the game for his team by trotting young and unconfident arms out there in big spots on the road in the SEC

Remember, this is the same coach who a month ago said (basically) “Skip said you always need to hope you have 8 pitchers but I think I have more than 8, we have double digit guys we’re confident in.”

It seems like a good strategy for pitchers to get experience and work early to have a chance to adjust to the environment. That way, if one of our primary arms goes down, the relief pitchers aren't completely caught off guard. It's a long season.

Schloss trotted out a 5th year senior last night that got fricking smoked.

Highly rated SEC players play in big SEC games. Why do you keep saying this nonsense? Jay Johnson coached teams have had freshman come in every year and pitch incredibly well.

What do you expect him to say? "Skip, I don't trust anyone in my bullpen at all."

Also, if you can't find 10 guys that have elite stuff in:

1. Anderson
2. Eyanson
3. Shores
4. Evans
5. Guidry
6. Schmidt
7. Rizy
8. Cowan
9. Ware
10. Benge
11. Mayers
12. Dorsey
13. Williams
14. Noot

You're lying. Also also, a month ago we were unhittable. You so confidently try and make points and end up just spewing nonsense every. single. time.

Skip told him he may think he has double digit arms he likes but he’ll be lucky to have 8 which you hope to have that number. Jay clearly doubted it and was cocky in thinking he has closer to a dozen.

The king was right

Early in the season. You have to challenge the bull pen to see who can step up and their limits. We play again tomorrow and the next few months. Once regional starts, you don’t necessarily get to play again.

That’s not really the point. Schloss actively chased the percentage play and won. Johnson went against it and lost. It was a questionable moved and the biggest AB in the game at the time & looking back.
