You definitely send them with 2 outs. Less than 2 you’re a little more conservative since you can score on a sac fly or grounder that’s not a DP

Rule of thumb, if the LF has the ball before the base runner hits third, probably best not to send the runner. But in fairness he has been really aggressive sending runners all year.

Pearson froze a little bit on the hit. He wasn’t at 3rd when LF got the ball. It was hit straight to him and was well hit. Knew as soon as he threw it that was going to be out at home.

As a rule of thumb, if the left fielder cleanly scoops up the ball prior to your runner hitting 3rd base you hold him up. Pearson was 2 strides away from the bag in this case.
