Really surprised ND received 5 votes.. They were terrible last season.

Okay, Buckeye Fan 19. My bad. We'd beat them 9 times.

Last year, IMO, you'd beat us 3 out of 4 times. Now, even with all your losses, and our limited losses, you think you'd beat us 9 out of 10 times.

Well, you came in favored against Florida and LSU and got stomped both times.

We currently have excellent studs to replace those that have left except the qb position.
It's not that Flynn was great but a great team manager like Mauck so it's not a stretch that Lee or Hatch could be the same.

So if this is the case, yes.....we'd beat your asses 9 out of 10 times.

I'm hoping you guys make it to the BCS title game once again and face Georgia (or Florida) if we don't make it and once again you'll get your asses handed to you once again making Ohio State 0 - 10 against SEC teams in bowl games.

This isn't a difficult debate for me to win.

We weren't favored against LSU.

And you know this how?

Just a question: What do you predict LSU's record to be this upcoming year?

Not sure with the qb question but I'm sure we will have a better showing in our bowl game than you do.

If we played your schedule we would go undefeated but a possible one loss record because of USC at their place.

And yes, you were favored against us in Vegas odds by three or four points.

Ohio State dude, I really wouldn't talk a lot of smack on this board with all the other smackers until yall prove it.....yall got the dog sh*t beat out of yall by two SEC teams two years in a row.

Word.

You don't know that. @Wisconsin at night, Penn St, @Illinois, and @MSU are tougher than at Kentucky, and @Wisky at night, @Illinois, and PSU are tougher than Arky at home, but that's just my opinion.

How did I talk smack? By saying this upcoming year's LSU team wouldn't beat this upcoming year's OSU team 9 out of 10 times? That's smack talk?

That's opinion. But you myopic bucknuts overestimate the value and quality of product that comes out of Columbus.

Are you guys really that naive to think that (as of this point, we'll still have to see what happens on the field this year) 2008 LSU would beat 2008 Ohio State nine out of 10 times? Really? As of now, I'd say OSU wins at least 7 out of 10 times (again, we'll see how LSU doest this year, though.)

7 out of 10??? It must be sad to have had a once great tradition that still gets carried to this present day by delusional sport writers in the polls. The Archie Griffin two Heismans in a row is a clear example of media bias.

Would you care to walk down memory lane and compare Archie to other Heisman candidates of that time?

Even Colin Cowherd, that I'm not high on, this year said 'once again' Ohio State would be put high in the polls and 'once again' get beat by another SEC team. Any time OSU faces 'real' competition they get beat.

I don't blame you at all for defending your once great program but you're done. You're delusional and being delusional helps you still have hope for your team. That's okay. But most other college fans realize when their teams go into mediocre years and realize when they are actually pretty good.

You bucknuts just don't get it. You're as delusional as the Alabama fan base which is beyond psychiatric care.

Congratulations!!!! I am very happy for you guys! Given the losses to all of the scholastic rigors of LSU I would think you guys and gals would be proud!! Except Duuke V...He is a creep.

Personally, I don't give absolutes when dealing with hypotheticals. It would be wise to wait and see how LSU will do. You never know, we may end up playing in the post season. It's just my experience with the poison nuts that they always are the best at everything, unless they may have to prove it.

I wouldn't diss LSU at this point. This team could be as talented as last by seasons end. Next year could be even better.

But again, since I am not inflicted with colubititus myopius, I don't make outlandish predictions.

You're talking about something from more than 30 years ago.

quote:

Even Colin Cowherd, that I'm not high on, this year said 'once again' Ohio State would be put high in the polls and 'once again' get beat by another SEC team. Any time OSU faces 'real' competition they get beat.

Because Cowherd's always right. And I guess the fact we're 4-2 in BCS games doesn't count as "real" competition.

I'm begging you to listen to yourself. You're calling the national runner-up a mediocre team and not even pretty good, let alone very good.

quote:

Are you serious? Bama went to the Independence bowl last year. How is our fanbase thinking about a NC as delusional as if a fanbase like Bama would?

Read this thread. Many Tigers fans are saying this is probably too high of a preseason ranking. If you read other threads, most Tiger fans are predicting 9-3, or 10-2 at best. Meanwhile, many say this is the best OSU in years (including the 02 team). And you think LSU could beat OSU 9 out of 10 times? And you're calling me delusional?

OK. Same with how people thought the Bucks would go to the Cap One Bowl last year. You never know. But would you say (at this point) it would look like LSU would beat OSU 9 out of 10 times this year?

For, probably, the 87th time on here, without poor officiating, OSU wins in regulation.

I like preseason #6. Win games, it's easy to move where we want to be. Lose games, it doesn't matter.

A friend from UGA emailed...I replied it's not where you start...it's where you finish. And at #1...there's only one way to go!
